In Melee only, Roy actually had 2 quotes for the victory pose shown in Adventure Mode. In the one in this video, I heard: "僕 は 負けない。" or "I won't lose." when translated. The other line Roy can say with that pose is "苦しい戦いだった。" or "That was a fierce battle." Besides that, it is otherwise 100% perfect.

Didn't know that. I knew about the others, but not that. Is this mentioned in the Smash wiki? So strange Roy's is different.

I mean, this was Roy’s debut game - it makes sense that he in particular would be unique.

I love the fact that some of the characters (like Kirby, Luigi, Mewtwo & Game and Watch) just decide to flex on Bowser. XD

Quite possibly the most uncanny victory cutscene in gaming but I love it. Watching this cutscene gives me chills, like if you're playing on easy or used a continue, the victory feels oddly hollow after the adventure you went through and you don't why the music sounds so sinister as you watch the ending. Then you choose normal and then you understand the reason why that prior victory felt wrong. You're introduced to the other side of the stage with the background pitch black, further adding on to the creepy vibe and the Bowser trophy returning to the field, breaking out and there it is, Giga Bowser.

I was kinda wishing that this scene would be like the one scene in the intro where Bowser gets struck by lightning when I first saw it. The intro lied to me.

I am wondering how they managed to mix the moving character while animating Bowser... Unless it's done in engine.
