I just finished her book and I found myself rooting for her all the way through her story, so seeing this interview was a great treat and I am off to watch the movie.🎉

I try not to comment early in the video most of the time but she just walked out like an absolute queen. Hell yes. Josh didnt say it but in my head I heard "Ladies and Gentlemen Anna fucking Kendrick"

....thanks....been looking for this...Anna is my favorite Hollywood performer and the fact she studies her craft/works her ass off/not afraid to take the proper risks and does it her way...makes me impatient to see her next project.....Glad to see that they worked things out and there is not much visible bitterness over the"Anna And The Boy" thing..........

This was quite a fun interview to see live last week. Anna is so funny. I must add also that after the interview was over, I came out of the bathroom I looked up Anna was a vision walking towards me in that black dress for 1.5 seconds before she rounded the corner to the stairs to her waiting car.

I think it was the movie on Ryan Reynolds where she was made from lead to minor role
@nobodyknowsmeimsureКүн бұрын
Um, that role was never a main role. From script to screen, that role was always "victim no.2"

Actors always do this… They talk about bad behavior from directors or producers etc… but they NEVER say who it is. It’s like they want to call people out but they stop short for fear of their career being affected.

Might be a little disconnected thinking it's embarrassing in front of 100 extras. That's 100 extras who wish they had starring roles and would probably give anything to be in that spot

What was she supposed to call them? That's there role/title.
@Shampyon2 күн бұрын
That's a weird interpretation. Seemed pretty clear to me that the point was that the director humiliated her in front of an audience as a power play, not that the audience was somehow beneath her.

It's a shame that none of these "brave" actors who speak out against shitty peers, directors, etc. ever NAME them so that... y'know... maybe they'll actually face some consequences. This constant cowardice only protects and continues to enable the bad ones. More bluntly: if you're too spineless to name names, then maybe keep your mouths shut and look for attention other ways.

I think her reactions to that situation with the director was stupid and entitled. I saw that to my boss and I would be out the door. Your job is to bring words to life, and is the director's job to make sure it all looks good.
@chellebelle47383 күн бұрын
She didn’t say that to the director at the time. She said her improvised lines which he tried to make her feel small about saying after encouraging her to improv were then the lines used in the actual movie, not the scripted lines. The fact her improv made the cut and not the scripted was basically an “f” you since he’d intentionally tried to embarrass her over her improvisation that he’d asked for. It’s also why she was very careful in recounting the story to minimize the chance people might pinpoint who the director was…she’s a professional.
