Cheptegei is true legend. He,as a holder of 2 WRs, doesn't need of paying attention from public like Ingebrigtsen,he is just doing himself better and shows true brutal results without public games, congratulations!!

@@lukecarroll19 yes, I know about the fact that he is holder of 3 WRs including 2 miles, 2000 m and 3000m. Yes, that`s a great result. is he the best middle distance runner in modern athletics? Yes, of course. But is he G.O.A.T.? he isn`t exactly goat of long distances. What about middle distance running, the answer is more difficult: 3000m WR- okay, it`s impressing,2000 m - too. 2 miles - sorry, but it`s not a classic distance event, it`s organised due to entertaiment, there is less competition. one of the hardest events in middle distance running is 1500 m. And here Jakob is so far to be goat, if you remind El Guerrouj, Lagat and Kiprop - these guys showed better performance at 1500 m. My previous idea was Cheptegei has never shown disrespectful behaviour to other competitors, he hasn`t ever made loud words like he is great in all distances. Therefore I think Cheptegei is true legend due to his respectfulness to other athletes, but Jakob shows disrespectful behaviour to other athletes not only in 1500 m, but also in other distances.

Weird commentary made it sound like Marata crashed and burned at the end ("walking the finishing stretch", etc.), when he actually ran an excellent 59:53, only 7 seconds behind Cheptegei, and only 16 seconds off his PR. While not ideally paced, hardly the disaster it's made out to be. It would have been nice if you'd shown their splits.
