I find your use of "conversation piece" interesting, because it isn't really that (although I suppose it could be, if you show it to some friends and you proceed to have a conversation about it) but at the same time it is exactly that. A piece of content that is a conversation between two characters - a conversation piece. Language is funny sometimes.

I like these because it's nice to here an actual argument as per the traditional definition of the word argument. In a traditional argument, you present points based on sound reasoning and good presenters have no problem conceding valid points even if they reach different conclusions. Too much vitriol and shrieking when people disagree nowadays.

Sadly when two well written fictional characters using ai have more principles than any current real world person who is blinded by my emotions and opinion matter more on the premise of my way or the highway, but they are both flawed in a way and thats what makes them interesting characters.

Just came across this, super well done! Just now binging all your Joshua Graham videos, and if you’re taking requests, I’d love to see him have a sit down with (Norse) Kratos one or multiple times. Considering their previous misguided paths as blind weapons for cruel tyrants and the painful paths to redemption they’ve both had (ironically both being burnt men), I think they’d make for very interesting conversation. I like to believe Kratos would be confused at how someone as rational, strong, intelligent and pragmatic as Joshua Graham could have such an unwavering faith in his god, and would actually be curious to hear his thoughts as opposed to classing him as a blind, witless idiot. In any case, great job! Excited to see what more you have in store!

Geralt has seen demons. He is the last person who should be denying the existence of God. If anything, he should be asking if God's protection will save him from the likes of Gaunter O'Dimm or the Wild Hunt.

It's honestly sad that a KZbin video of two fictional characters talking with AI generated voices is one of the best debates I've seen in a while. Two intelligent men discussing a topic so profound and sparking such emotion with respect for eachother and being able to concide to a valid point made by the other even if their conclusions are radically different. Respect for the work. It isn't easy to write a debate like that. It wisdom to know the points that need to be made, intelligence to articulate them well and skill to put it all into an accessible format for other people to hear.

eh... I feel like some of this doesnt make sense. geralt doesnt have really a conception of a christian god just the gods of his world and he has seen literal magic before his eyes. joshua has faith in a god but has never seen geralt's world and does not have the conception on how magic would effect his. similar with kreia and the force when she and joshua had the same debate. the force changes everything in that context because unlike the duality of god and satan the force is both light and dark. some people have the idea that the dark side is people's corruption of the force but that's not really possible because the force dictates those people's feelings and actions. the dark side is also not exclusively evil, it can be for good. just as the light can be misused for evil there is just an inclination of alignment. the important thing though is neither character should be able to perceive eachother's perspectives to that degree and so quickly

The true faithful do not believe their actions are driven by, or sanctioned by god. They believe their actions are their own, informed only by their ability to choose the right path based on their best understanding of what their god would least object to. To that i believe god wishes us to live, not to simply lay down and die or be slave to another. To live our lives doing as least damage to others as is permitted by our circumstance. To be charitable when blessed with abundance, and to be understanding of those who cannot give as much as we might like or need. Geralts argument is far more based on the idea that one should not seek to make changes in things, that by trying to we only make things worse, but that is colored by his life of being swept up in things so large and important that no matter the choice, there are grave and usually unpleasant consequences. But most situations normal people are thrust into will not be of such scale, and even if they were, inaction is a choice with consequences as well.

Joshua Graham isn’t Christian, he’s Mormon. In the game Joshua Graham refers to his Colt 1911 pistol as being made by a member of his tribe more than 400 years ago. The creator of the Colt 1911 semi automatic .45 caliber pistol was John Moses Browning, a known prolific Mormon.
