Very good point, and the Juggernaut was very much in his physical prime at the time, right now Dubois is coming into his physical prime, this Dubious beats that Joyce. It's just one of those things. If he continued fighting, he would of lost his eye, and his whole career and we wouldn't even be talking about him right now. The boy saved his sight and career and now he's world champ. He can build a legacy to bury that what happened back then.. Under so many victories that people will almost forget, only the ones who remember his career well will remember that moment in time, when it looked like his career could be jeaprodised. Look at him now. World champ.. Granted a gift from usyk but still, it went to the one Usyk would of wanted it to. He likes Daniel he could feel his potential in there when they fought I even thought Usyk was being a cunning old fox he bought himself so much time it took Dubois fire away he was getting frustrated the longer Usyk was taking, very clever boxer, but a rematch between the two right now, I don't know man, Dubious hits really damn hard. I don't believe in Chisora's theory that AJ froze. He was the more mature and experienced fighter between the two of them. Freeizing is not a valid excuse. Anthony Joshua was flat-footed as fuck from the jump in that fight hence he was out-jabbed which made it difficult for him to fight his fight. It's difficult to jab when you flat-footed. And the last uppercut he threw was a textbook rookie mistake, throwing an uppercut from the outside, thank God he got punished. AJ gets buzzed and his boxing goes to pieces.His chins up in the air and his hands are everywhere except where they should be. He's physically gifted but it's like he has to consciously think his way through a fight. As long as he's bossing the fight it's no issue but as soon as he's buzzed and he's got to rely on ingrained skills they're not there in the same way as fighters that been doing this since they were kids. I mean how many real fights do you think Joshua had when he was a kid? Probably knocking other kids flat and never having the lessons of multiple beat downs
@mightymanofvalour8691Ай бұрын
He started boxing at 18 if I’m not wrong. This has been my main concern. Without pedigree, you’re missing fundamentals. AJ is blatantly talented. You don’t get to be world champion in the amateurs after 3 years of doing the sport, and then Olympic champion the following year. But he needed time. Without those extra 10 years, going through the ropes and racking up multiple bouts as a kid and teenager, the fundamentals are not ingrained. They don’t have time to become second nature. Hence, in the pro leagues, you get sussed when you get put under pressure. And thus, what you said is spot on.

You can see Joshua getting more nervous as the weeks went on and was funny as F seeing chisora trying to cheerlead Joshua from ringside. Ben Davison strikes again 😂😂

Winning a rematch, AJ didn’t look like he wanted to fight after getting the first punch in the face. DDD was levels above AJ on the night.

Let's go Zhang V Usyk. Usyk goes down. And don't forget about Jerry Forest's draw with Zhang.

AJ will win the rematch, I wouldnt be so quick to write him off.

@@Suntdy007well took Dubois 5 rds on his best day against AJ on his worst.I just remember everyone sayong Lewis should of retired after Rachman knocked him out, The rematch showed people are too quick to write someone off.

@@SuperChalkster AJ ain’t no Lewis - wash your mouth out now! 😂 AJ had everything on his side, the fans, the walkout, everything. His level is baby miller now - he’s never beaten anyone of any note apart from an old Vladimir - anyone else he’s beaten has been beaten by someone else yet he ain’t even fought Zang, Joyce, hergovic, wilder or fury - stop this nonsense 😂😂
@SuperChalksterАй бұрын
@@Suntdy007 he beat zhang in the olympics, as well as beating Parker who just recently beat Zhang anyway, and he stopped joyce in the amateurs. Wilder is washed now anyway, hes 40 and lost 4 of his last 5 fights what credit does he get for beating him now? Look all im saying is dont be so quick to write him off, That was the best Dubois we have ever seen, although he was decent in his last 2 fights there was still enough evidence to make AJ a heavy favourite with the bookies. Yet It was clear to see that was the worst AJ we have ever seen almost amateur. so best Dubois vs Worst AJ. ive not seen enough, run it again. If the same happens again then sure AJ should hang them up, But as of right now no way he should hang them up on the back of that, was just a serious bad day....

@@SuperChalkster ok well let’s hope for the rematch because Dubois will only get better. you can’t teach AJ at the age of 35 new tricks. He is what he is. They all said AJ was in the best shape at his best before this fight. Cant have it both ways

Joshua definitely froze 100%

I think AJ would find it far more mentally challenging in the rematch. DD will be like a raging bull, I don't think AJ matches well with really powerfull aggressive fighters.

AJ's trainer told him to throw the uppercut after a double jab 🤔

Joshua wins the rematch if he: 1) does not do what Hearn tells him. All the respect giving and ambassadorial stuff has softened AJ. The weight and burden carried reawakening the sport of boxing from near obscurity has fallen almost entirely on his shoulders 2) does not overthink it. Listen to his interviews and he goes in tangents. Needs to keep it simple. No need to think like a philosopher 3) keeps the guard up 4) keeps to his strengths, which is to box clever mixed with aggression. Repeat what he did against Wallin and Ngannou 5) lose the nerves. Take a Tyson Fury like attitude in the ring of whatever happens, happens.

Congrats to Dubois, but AJ is far from finished- He was not his normal self, boxed all wrong, but its boxing, no need to get all emotional over it- Someone lost and someone won, bring on the rematch-

his hands touched the floor and the ref didnt count,then ddd battered him so funny, Also that punch ddd soaked up to start the last barage in the 5th was insane most would have folded to that ddd has super human strenght and granite chin.
