Great video and nice power loop session! I wish I had trees near by. But on the other hand, it's cool to see how high you can get with power loops.

Learned a lot from this video. Thanks Josh! Now when are you doing (slow) power barrel rolls??! :)
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... good suggestion. Actually, they are not too hard as long as you are in a big open field. Just leave the throttle up and gently cross-coordinate a roll.

I've been watching and trying everything you put out. Thanks too you I am becoming a very decent pilot. Very impressed with your videos. Thanks

Hi, Joshua. I like to say thanks for teaching me a few tricks which I learn from your videos. I was wondering if a vertical figure 8 can be done. As the quad drops at the tail end of the power loop, roll 180 to the opposite side and power loop to complete a figure 8. I am still not yet confident with my power loop, so I thought if you have done such a move.
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, sure, you can definitely do that. I bet if you watch pilots doing proximity acro on multiple levels, you will see them do that sort of thing.

Damn nice session Josh. Thanks for uploading. That helps me a lot. PS. That is the craziest sound when you drop to 1/4 speed. Tie Fighter Loops :D

Hi Joshua, I'm an addict of your videos since I discover your channel a few months ago. It's possible to record only the sticks for saving space of the data flash? How do you export them for merging it with the fpv vídeo?
@SeanDuffyProductions8 жыл бұрын
Great video, I'm currently trying to get the courage to try a powerloop and this helped a lot! You might want to add a delay to your battery warning so you don't get "battery critical" at the top of your loop, though. :)
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
+Sean Duffy there's already a delay I assure you. The battery is just saggy.

That tree wanted your quad after all that taunting. Good choice picking on the 6 foot tree rather than the 60 foot one.

Joshua, is it acro or air mode? As i see, you decrease throttle to zero?
@JoshuaBardwell6 жыл бұрын
Air mode is not a flight mode. It's just a modifier to acro mode. This would have been done with air mode or idle up I don't remember which.

I'm using some dys xm30a blheli escs. Can I just select multishot in the BF GUI or do I need to change something on the escs also?
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
+DrFuNK XM30 is regular blheli. It doesn't support multishot unless you flash the multishot firmware to it. The easiest way to do this is from yhe Chrome blheli configuration app.
@badmofo3508 жыл бұрын
Joshua Bardwell ok thanks. Will the app use passthrough via the fc?

How do you get audio in your dvr?
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
I record it with a microphone on the ground and then manually sync it in editing.

Hey! You are doing a lot of roundups. lipos, flight controllers etc. What would you say about doing some testing of motors and escs? You don't have to mount them to a quad, it would be purely scientific. RPM, Acceleration, thrust, amps, [vibration, noise @ no load] and how these values change between escs & esc capabilities. IDK, I think it'd be a cool experiment.

hey josh, so i recently purchased a wizard and when ever i arm the motors and move the throt up a few notches then hold it there on my radio my motors start accelerating uncontrollably i do not know how to fix this please help , i am using betaflight 3.01, blheli s esc with latest firm ware
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
Are your props on or off?
@gregroberts73948 жыл бұрын
off, and the motors are going up to full throttle
@JoshuaBardwell8 жыл бұрын
Motors do weird things with the props off. Slowly accelerating to full is not unusual. Check that the motors spin the right direction. Check that the props are on correctly. Check that the motors are wired correctly (motor 1 is back right and so forth). Check that the 3D model moves the right direction when you tilt the copter by hand. Then go somewhere safe and try to hover.
@gregroberts73948 жыл бұрын
ok, and i just pluged in and idled on the while watching the motors tab on beta, i found that the motors where not idleing at the same speed m1 was at 1025 , m2 - 1032 , m3- 1094 , m4 1120 when i went up on the throt a lil i took some screen shots i can send
