This is gonna be Pog in Lair of Darkness. All normal traps are searchable, it only plays dragons and fiends, and you get rewarded for tributing monsters. I'm excited to see how it feels

Wait a minute, just realized the thought that if you somehow do end up against a Fiend or Dragon deck as Lair of Darkness you can Tribute the opponent's Level 5 or Higher monster to use Enhanced Metalmorph. Not exactly gonna occur too often for the Fiend side, Dragons are definitely far more common. But that is funny application. Though another deck that could technically play Metalzoa X is actually Labrynth, Lab does have Level 5+ Fiends and Enhanced Metalmorph is a Normal Trap.

Those Morganite cards are clearly meant to make you play less hand traps in your deck, but they give you no card advantage during the turn they are used and don't effectively protect you against your opponent's interruptions. Unfortunately, in this format it's just better to run a bunch of hand traps and some techs alongside your chosen one card combo.

The Metalmorph cards will be used as an engine in dragon and fiend decks. Since the cards are basically never bad to draw, they turn mediocre boards into something that’s much better

Opportunity cost, They’re never “bad” to draw in that they will always do something. But very frequently they will be not good to draw because that something they do is not enough.

@@Exisist5151 I wouldn’t say they’re going to win you games by themselves. We’re already seeing Dragon Link use a package of just 1 Fullmetal Dragon and 1 Enhanced Metalmorph to give themselves an extra omni-negate that can be accessed through their standard combos. This is what I meant by that. I can also imagine decks that don’t have a normal summon using a slightly larger version of this engine to make their fields overall better too. People are already talking about how Metal Copycat is also a Fiendsmith starter as well.

I kinda wanna try the metalmorph stuff in plunder but idk how much i wanna go in on it. 3 metalzoa 1-2 trap? 3 copycat, 2 trap, and 1 of each boss? Copycat seems like too much of a handtrap magnet to dedicate the normal summon to though. Idk, but i like the idea of it

I think it's cool you can pretty much put it in any deck that plays level 5 or higher dragon or fiend monsters as a little engine. Don't know if it is worth it, but I want to try it in Chimera. Just three of the Zoa and one trap to tribute of a Big Wing Berfomet, the fusion Berfomet, or a Beatrice to get another interrupt with two potential pops. EDIT: Beatrice is of course a Fairy. Somehow I thought about Burning Abyss and "Fiend" popped into my head😅

The earthbound is not THAT unplayable... i can picture discarding it for hugin in earthbound runick, making RDA and then banishing it to summon an immortal from deck. The immortals are bricks but there's probably at least one that has an effect, at least a time card. Also you can search this with crimson gaia right?

Playing 1 fullmetal and 1 enchanced metalmorph is really good in dragonlink in my opinion, dragonlink has wanted a second good search off of black metal dragon for a while and an omni negate is decent

I find it really funny how he didnt realize how unplayable these are as a "deck" and how he didnt notice their potential in other better decks. To anyone wondering why this deck is unplayable, the new metalmorph is a hard once per turn meaning you cannot get both bosses at the same time and if you get ashed its litteraly over

OTK players are too comfortable. Once you play anti-OTK they cry like babies. But why do I want to wait 10-20 minutes for you to finish your turn with omni negates (they we have to play luck of the first turn to counter?)? Makes Yugioh as boring as floodgates. They can always ash or call maxx c anyways. Why not just ban omninegates so the other player can have a turn? Opponents can be activating effects on your turn for a whole minute making the game boring even more. There's enough cards to counter maxx c, but not enough cards to help maxx c against omni negates.
