@@Basswire Yeah Farfa and MBT might not be YCS champions but they are better players than most of us randos just by the sheer amount of playtime they rack up doing what they do. What I like here is Josh's approach of setting a philosophy and applying it to literally everything.

@@Emporkommling that’s not true, Joshua’s input is (probably) more “accurate” because he can pinpoint what design decisions can make yugioh problematic. To be a pro you don’t really need that skill you just need to understand how to use certain designs to your advantage which isn’t something a developer should really care about.

@@EMPCraft But as Josh says at the end of the list - there's space to iterate on this list further and remove more toxic stuff. Of course there will be a meta, but if it ends up being something like Edison where there isn't loads of toxic stuff then the mission has been achieved.

really wish we had a "cumulative inclusion" set of lists like duel links has. Being able to keep things like benten out of drytron lists and things like that sounds so helpful. I get that having a lot of ban lists can be confusing, but it's not like having a format of thousands of cards isn't already

..yeah, im glad this list would never happen. it kills or sigificantly hits every last deck ive even thought of playing that could be on a recent banlist, while providing even less options to handle the decks im up against, and I don't think the hits offered to the combo decks matter as much. we already saw when swordsoul couldn't make their level 8- they have multiples to reach for that aren't on this list. funny hit to me is probably DNA surgery. also, what floodgates are Paleo's even running other than Anti-spell?

I would hate this list for only one reason. It actually kills earth machine due to the Goliath ban. I would kinda hate losing Regulus since my favorite interaction in the game would be gone, but 0 Goliath makes my favorite deck unplayable. Goliath doesn't even do much other than go into the graveyard and let us revive the Infinitrack XYZ monsters. If we got Goliath back, I would be 100% down to play this list

The funny thing is actually we dont have do do that much, i mean bann baron, apolusa, savage, Number 38, bagooska, dweller, talker, ip and all the other non generic negate stuff which every deck pulls out this game would be fine. We would still have negates and floodgates but it would be actually fun. I mean there are so cool synchro 8 monster or link 4 but we always see the same.

Ok that started really well, but I feel like it kinda got out of control towards the end. Floodgates, handloop, FTK/OTK enablers and mass removal/negation are the main problems. Banning cards like Engage, Balelynx and Branded Fusion is just going overboard with balance imo. It's normal to have cards and decks stronger than others as long as they're not oppressive or game-winning on their own. lol

Funny thing: even without circular, mathmech would probably still be very playable, if you really want to kill that deck you have to hit superfactorial or laplacian.

Without circular it isn't super combo head It has to search superfact with alembertian so you're often using all your gas to get to superfact The main problem is under this slower format final sigma being able to easily kill and magma being basically a blowout might be a problem
