Yes. With or without a banlist For people talking about SE, this deck counters a lot of SE play style. It will naturally phase SE out unless people figure out another way to play SE extension using Continuous S/Ts just don't work well versus Detonator

i came back 2 months ago from a long hiatsu, I was baffled!!!! I quit during Sky strikers, salamangreat era with thunder dragons lingering a bit, came back to drytrons and virtual world, didn't last that much, took another hiatsu, and here I am, Yubel is freaking OP, that was an insane realization!!! fire kings are back!! wow!! these decks i messed around with back in the day are now meta and kicking butt so much people are furious!! Watts, blackwings, Raidraptors have insane support!! sky strikers have new cards that i didn't even bother to look at, even tho the deck is close to my heart, but I Believe they more than doubled the amount of cards the deck has now, which is insane support but to much choice!!! I'm barely even playing, picked up Exodia as a start, that was busted too!! we have Maxx c at home!! wow!! blue eyes is good, I experimented with a blue eyes centurion build and I am amazed!! double blazar dragons ffs!!!!! consistently!!!! how!!!!! we're at a level where you can bring consistently double solemn judgments without halving your LP, with protection, and other negates, and still not META viable bruh!!!!

Ryzeal more than most decks breaks my heart It's dominance in the OCG isn't purely due to it's power but also it's cost To them it's a super budget deck, old players got into YGO again through it Since it's simple, cheap yet powerful How am I supposed to get my boomers back in if the deck is all ultras

Ryzeal is not a budget deck with seventh tachyon, yes ocg decks are way cheaper than tcg not if by ocg standard ryzeal is not a budget deck, bewd with its new support on the other is a budget deck and perform in top 3-4 currently just because of the structure deck but when players just wanted THE BEST DECK of format, ryzeal is the deck for it, while costing less than malice but perform better than it
@dariuspenner2528

Get them to play Maliss instead. Maliss looks way stronger than Ryzeal. Ryzeal looks like another Spright vs Tear or FK SE vs pure SE situation where the OCG hypes up the weaker deck because they’re scared of combo decks. Maliss ends on way stronger boards, doesn’t get cooked by D Barrier and Ultimate Slayer, can play Shifter which is very strong into Fiendsmith, Yubel, and SE, and will end up way cheaper because Ryzeal has most of the high rarity cards.

If you play this deck, I recommend adding in the Toy Box cards as an engine. It turns Ice Ryzeal's built-in summon and Node Ryzeal's cost (send a card from field or hand, primarily focusing on the field part) into free extension, free cost, and free bodies. Especially with the synergy of Toy Soldier being able to search any LIGHT Level 4, which Ryzeal has. And that Toy Box can destroy an attacking monster that the opponent didn't read closely on hehe (Golden Castle skill issue lol). Also, since the Toy Box engine can get free bodies and that Ryzeal have a Normal Trap that has "Hole" in its name, you can make Traptrix Rafflesia to protect from Nib or any other handtrap if needed if you also play Gravedigger's Trap Hole. Then, on your opponent's turn, you can use Ryzeal Plasma Hole with Rafflesia and not needing to search it or attach it. And there's also Starliege Photon Blast Dragon to protect from targeting effects which can also be boosted by Duo Driver to protect itself also
@Michael-hs7pr
@Michael-hs7pr Ай бұрын
The Ryzeal spice is toy box btw :) Pyro starter plus a toy monster gets you to detonator, duo drive, rafflesia and both spells. Rafflesia then is an interruption and sends plasma hole (for cost) which can then make UDF with the 3 XYZ. A detached detonator can then be revived with plug-in for a total of 5 detonator activations. Opening toy box gets you a 4th rank 4, since toy soldier then searches any light 4 (usually a pyro starter, but can also be e.g. astraltopia for an Omni). This probably isn't as good as pure but it can be pretty fun :)

Very excellent coverage. I think the highlight about the OCG banlist is key to understand why Ryzeal may not take over TCG as the best deck in the format (but should still be highly tiered). Snake eyes, Yubel and Tenpai are all very heavily hit The strength of the deck is very simple: Consistent with low engine requirement. Decent follow up and Detonator basically solo most of the lower tier deck. 3 pop is no joke when you have monster negate on top with the detach and field spell. Also super important to note that Detonator require Ryzeal as material, so don't make the same mistake as the recent tournament winner that summoned Detonator with Ryzeal Multchammy On the topic of engine. In OCG the best build at this point is pure with the tacheon package. Having ~16 card starter is already sufficient considering the deck is super resilient to handtrap as their starter also function as extender. While people have experimented with engine such as toy soilder and white forest (and some crazy folk did it with nekroz), ultimately the loss of the non-engine space is not justified if you factor in all the handtrap for interruption. Extra rank 4 won't add too much to the end board when detonator present most of the interruption and your handtrap function as backup. Also there are some tools in OCG such as the new twin rank 4 that basically let you get back to detonator after it gets removed. So outing detonator will require more effort than simple 1 piece of removal Keep in mind in OCG environment, hyper powerful going first end board is mostly gone due to the abundance of handtrap wars and banlist. So the low to the ground approach with handtrap from Ryzeal is what makes it versatile. Maliss and Memento are another big call out for combo deck though they have their own way of playing against maxx C and friends. These decks still yet to crack to best deck simply because how good Ryzeal at playing through handtrap and interruption

Josh this is Centurion, if Atrii/Gargoyle/Bonds/Wake were also pseudo-1cc or at the very least really good extenders. The fact both decks come from deck build packs, meaning 3 waves of support if the current trend is followed can be frightening (even excluding the random Barian synergy with Seventh Tachyon) A key interaction I love is to use Aggregator to detach itself for the "cost" of the field spell, then negate my own field spell to allow me a 2nd Detonator that will get at the very least 3 more pops. But by far my favorite play is to utilize Exciton Knight since Ryzeal doesn't have that big of a board presence, then using Exciton for Fiendsmith plays. From my testing while the deck is solid it still needs something more and the fiendsmith engine allows 20 non-engine being compact itself, while solving the issue of OTKing that can be quite annoying sometimes.

So if i get it right the problem is the 1card board is strong due to them being able to attach with plug in enabling the trap on the opponents turn. If i kaiju the detonator, they would have to shotgun the quickspell to get another xyz correct? Furthermore it would solve the pops and the monsternegate from the fieldspell. Another option i thought of is mind and braincontrol. They can kill their own detonator or give it over stopping the fieldspell and also the plug in. Furthermore some deck could play the xyz 5 wasp and keep the detonator and its mats on your side of the field. Pleas correct me if i am wrong.

@aeugh8998
@aeugh8998 Ай бұрын
There are two different phase of card being activated, the first will be "Activation" and the second will be "Resolution". This kind of negation basicly deny the possibility of the opponents "resolving" the effect for the second time, because some cards has to be activated before it cannot be used. Example would be the Runick spell. If my opponents negate the activation of my Runick Tip, I can still use another Runick Tip cause it's an "Activate", not "Used". But, negating on resolution means I activate Runick Tip, it counts toward activation, but I cant resolve it and now I cant use any more Runick Tip

without some significant banlist hits I don't see how this plays through snake-eyes or yubel boards. It's board is pretty strong and hard to play through but this deck seems super weak to removal. Ghost ogre which is already quite a common hand trap choice absolutely cooks this decks opener. Ogre + any one hand trap probably ends the game unless you draw a full engine in which case you're much easier to beat on the crackback.

Could you play colossus in ryzeal ?

No there's a rank 4 lock , the 2 fire thunder monsters they play don't activate from hand to special summon it's like you summon a spright from hand doesn't activate or start a chain

Ive watched quite a few ryzeal games and I dont think you should ever use a handtrap on the main deck ryzeals unless its a simplified game state.

At the end you said ryzreal isnt going to be the best deck etc etc. But there's likely a banlist rightt around the corner. Sooo i think there's a high chance that it and maliss are the best decks. I think most people get this.

Ryzeal is kind of like the Kashtira Fiendsmith deck. Low to the ground deck that doesn't do too much but has a ton of hand traps. Seems good to me.

Aha, 3 pops 2 negates a draw and normally way more interruptions is like kash/fiendsmith where you end in best case on fenrir + caesar and die to one handtrap?

@@aligd7040 Kash Fiendsmith doesn't die to one handtrap. In fact, that's litterally the whole point of the deck

@@colossaldonut5190 I sure do love my low-to-ground strategy that has 2 pops, 2 negates (one of which cannot be responded to), draws 2-5 cards on setup, is loaded up on hand traps, has a Drident, and has a Broadbull. Yep, super low-to-ground. No explosive plays, complex chain links, or endless conga line of dudes here.

Why would you pla Donnar over S:P?
@copperfield42
@copperfield42 Ай бұрын
is probably easier to go into Donner than S:P without getting lock, because to get the banish eff of SP you need an extra deck monster so you need at least 3 bodies, and only Ice can get you a second body without the lock on normal, and any special of a ryzeal lock you so you can't go into SP in a reliable way... You could go into first I:P and leave it there to use in your opponent turn, but the main use of SP is pinpoint removal on demand which Detonator basically have you cover in your opponent turn, that leave Donner to cover for your turn

I really am not a big fan of ryzeal as an archetype. While not super-duper toxic i dont enjoy this type of card design at all - basicly every single card leads into the next, is both a starter and extender (EX also being a mini boardreaker is crazy too) and if you get handtrapped and have the next guy in line its just the same endbaord. This makes the deck hyper consistent and able to play 20+ non-engine easily - but also very boring imo, with the deck being pretty 1-dimensional. Also as a side note: in my opinion no deck should inherently play around nibiru with their one-card combos, but apparently this is the power level we have reached nowadays.
