Honestly, time is what makes most of your foods tastier. That chicken wouldn't be half as good without an overnight stay in marination. Maybe instead of faster, lazier. One pot meals where you dump everything in, set it to simmer, stir once or twice, but you basically do nothing other than simmer food gently.

Josh, you should try some of the slightly lesser known South Asian dishes! Everyone knows what butter chicken, chicken tandoori, choley and chicken tikka masala is, but a lot less people know of other dishes such as Paya, Nihari, karahi, kala bhuna, rogan josh, korma, haleem etc. All delicious and amazing dishes people have never heard of!
