This was so helpful. I used to journal and feel pressured while writing because I was so overwhelmed with all the information I wanted to write, it was hard for me to just write it all and be done, usually I would just give up. But I have a strong feeling this video is going to be SO helpful with my future writing. 💕

i think a good tip to not lose commitment when journaling (coming from someone who has horrible commitment issues) is don't pressure yourself to journal everyday! making yourself do it every day can feel like it's a chore or something you Have to do which obviously ruins the whole purpose of it. it's better to keep your journal nearby where you see it often so you can write when you feel like it's a perfect time to. i tend to write every couple days so that i actually have things fo write about

I've been journaling for about 3 month. Through journalling, I start to learn more about my feeling and emotion. I've learned that every emotion I felt is valid, journal also can be a place for to comfort myself when I have no one wants to listen to my inner thoughts and worries. I also learned to managed my financial correctly. So far, having a journal has been a great experience for me, I think it is a worthy experience for anyone who wants to give it a try.

i started journaling this year, it helped me understand myself by keeping track of my thoughts and feelings, it also provided me a safe place to channel out my emotions, i wanna thank you jem 'cause you're one of the people that convinced me to actually start my own journal

Remember that you don’t have to write in your journal if you don’t want to. Don’t pressure yourself if you’re not in the mood or very tired. Otherwise you’ll just end up burned out and won’t write there for months, as I did😅

I loved the description of MadHappy. I loved your whole video but then you got to MadHappy and the way you described it as 'starting conversations about mental health' was the one that blew me away.

I used to watch most journaling videos in the beginning when I got interested in it ...it was so overwhelming, u beginning to spend on it like nothing matters n end up going blank when u open ur journal.. you'll start journaling following ideas from others n you'll get tired of it at some point .. doodling or creating fancy themes required lots of time where it causes additional stress in your daily life ... you'll give up ..than you'll have a light blinking above ur head ! Ting ting .. you'll end up finding your own style, info on what u wanna put in, what u can track or to do which you can complete.. consistently you'll start journaling

for everyone still struggling: just pretend that one day you'll be a notable character of this world - and even if not, still write. Maybe one day, someone will find ur very own story interesting. Who knows, that will end up as a film or a book.

I want to start journaling now, i used to do bullet journal but that didn't really work out to me. I'm planning on buying journal/notebook on christmas, i wanted to do "none guided journal" like the brain dump where i write my thoughts, how i feel and my dally life. This is very helpful, thank you for the video Jem! :)

Vomiting on paper is great. Just wish I could do it habitually, instead of waiting for my stomach to bloat.
