Riding A Dumbwaiter! Epic Vintage Sedgwick Traction Floor-Loading Dumbwaiter

[Recorded 2-23-23] Now here is something you don't see every day! I discovered this really cool original Sedgwick dumbwaiter a couple of years ago. I wanted to show it to Tyler since it was pretty rare, and he had the amazing idea to ride inside it LMAO. Of course, we had to check the capacity first, but Tyler is nowhere near 500 pounds. We gave each other a look of mischief and he hopped in HAHAHA. Since this is a college campus, I highly doubt we're the first ones here to do this lol. My college cafeteria had two of these larger style dumbwaiters. They were Dover's from the 60's and taken out of service and demolished in 2006 before I started filming. They used these to transport food from the basement kitchen to the serving line on the upper level.

My college also has a defunct large dumbwaiter. I'm not sure what it was used for but now it leads to the cafeteria kitchen and the back of Dunkin Donuts upstairs.
