Let's just call it dedication. Ajahn Brahm is a great teacher and counselor, a gift for so many. Just expressing your self is enough. Monks just use mindfulness as their self expression. If you want to be egoless dont become a product of another, use what you have no to show thanks to the world.

Thank you Ven. Ajahn Brahm, for your amazing guidance into this delightful meditation. I feel the peace overcome me just listening to your gentle kind voice, and by the time you give the signal to close our eyes & go into silence, I felt I was already there! I love your approach of relaxing the body first and feeling every bit of tension and and ajysting and letting it go I like what you said about making the body our friend or partner, and treating it with kindness. My question is who is feeling the calmness? It's not the Mind...it's not the body. Then, is that the real me?

Examine my words thoroughly. Seeking truth for understanding reality in the end not only for your self but for the common good of harmony is not following facts by criticising while time is running and all is connected.

If there's no self, who knows that? :P I stopped meditating to see if I would stop. (I'm still skeptical after 3+ years now about the cosmological story of Buddhism 😂 Sorry, but i do not and never will believe a man rode a horse to the Moon 🙄 I mean you're REALLY checking your brain at the door entrance if you believe THAT! 🤣....meditation...well that's quite a bit different BUT i can still call it explain it as Subjective experiences and probably some mess i saw in a movie as a kid, so therefore not empirically real). Wanting to believe a thing can be as dangerous as not wanting to. The thing is, before any of you could take vows you had to agree to believe all the myths about the Buddha as objective fact, didn't you? I'd like to hear how tough it is to be a monk on the human level. Or, an abbott. What do you do with them when they argue? 😂 I found a Theravada sanghe very close to me in a small house, starting out as I would guess BSWA did so many years ago. But, they were called back to Sri Lanka by their master. They had just started remodeling the interior and then, sudden change. I hope they're doing well back home. Keep taking care of yourselves BSWA and I hope the rains are a good time for you all. 🙋
