I am more than happy to not kick anymore. That's why it says Electra Glide on my 65. Work smart, not hard. There's a podcast that Matt Laidlaw did with his dad and grandfather a while back. They talked about the first 1965 Electra Glide that showed up in their dealership. All the guys were taking turns pushing the starter button.

Great video, but I’m sure others have mentioned so if I’m repeating forgive me, but a lot of the audio was missing. This isn’t the first video where that’s happened. The commentary you give is half the entertainment. Keep it up, love what your doing
@SlickHeadCustomCycles5 ай бұрын
No your absolutely right gerry!! I had all kinds of audio issues that Sunday for one the audio that you do hear was kind of crappy and distorted because I used the wrong microphone and for two, my microphone had fell out of my helmet twice during that ride and I caught it in my lap. I mentioned that in the video on one of the instances. So I do apologize gerry, and in the future I’ll try to do better, but my third problem is I’m not that great at ad libing off the top of my head while riding inside of my helmet all by myself!!!! I’m not as good as some people like shade tree surgeon on KZbin lol. 😂. But anyways thanks for commenting and thanks for watching. And also. Thanks for the constructive criticism. It’s good to know someone out there actually wants to hear me talk while I’m riding. There’s other people out there that only wanna hear the bike and tell me to shut up!! 😂. 👍🍺 SLICK
@gerryrandolph5 ай бұрын
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles where there’s truth to the music of the motor, that not what it’s all about, at least I think. Commentary and banter, unless a person is riding by themselves just shutting up to hear the motor is, well, kinda boring. I mentioned the audio just to make sure you were aware is all, not criticizing. You’re producing the product and that’s 100% more than I am so not my place to say “you’re doing it wrong!” Just more of a, hey did you know you’re missing something
@gerryrandolph5 ай бұрын
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles got to thinking about the whole talking and commentary topic. Not naming names, but there’s another KZbinr out of the LA area who puts up videos infrequently, good topics, reviews of new bikes and an occasional road trip, but the way the guy talks could put a deaf person to sleep. I was raised in the plains states but grew up in the Marine Corps and the back and forth banter and crude humor is more my taste in entertainment than a monotoned script reading. Keep it up, but think about throwing some early twin cam vids in so I can pick up a few trick on my bike😁

You're UL is ALMOST perfect to me! The first thing I wish you'd do is get a period (Stewart-Warner) speedometer. Yes, they're pricey, but I can't describe how tickled one can be (from experience) to look down at an 80-plus year old AMERICAN instrument keeping you precisely informed of your current speed and mileage. I'd like to get in contact with you, as I have a '41 UL loaded in the cue to get together. Stay safe 😊
@SlickHeadCustomCycles4 ай бұрын
Wow, OK we have a lot of things to unpack here from what you just said for one thank you for the compliment on my 1940 UL for two I would love to have an original OEM Harley Davidson speedometer but as you said they are super pricey online and they’re usually Broken and beat up and you have to have them rebuild after you spend a ton of money to even get your hands on and when I got this bike three years ago I didn’t have enough money to entertain those Kind of ideas, now I have a little bit of money saved so things have changed in that aspect And then third question is where do you live? You actually have a 1941 UL you want to get back together and running?

Well several reasons, for one i have club members who get to watch my videos a day earlier than everyone else, and for two KZbin has a delay in the actual amount of views vs what you see on your screen, not sure why. 👍🍺
