I love seeing these ladies together. This is actually the type of "talk show" that needs to be on during the day 5 days a week. Not anything like The View or The Talk or all the other shows like it that bring nothing but drama, chaos, gossip and hatred. There's nothing anyone can learn from those type of shows and they add no real value to our lives. But I really wish someone would put together a panel of women as we see here, who all have God in their lives and can help people live a better life.

@@bridgettjulia8950 except people pleasing can counteract God's favor in your life. For example, a woman stuck in an unhealthy realtionship, she wants to leave but is concerned about what others, especially her famiy, would say. That's people pleasing and it's dangerous. If she were to leave, Doors would open that no man could shut but she choose to stay on a path not touched by the divine. While each situation in life is a lesson learnt for us all, overstaying your welcome in those situations is condemning and you'd be doing a disservice to yourself. You can love someone from afar. To love doesn't mean to people please. Two entirely different things.

Yep. The spirit of the Lord will lead you to pull away from some people. Because He knows their hearts and intentions towards you. And He knows that they won't do by right you. They will keep attacking you verbally, emotionally, spiritually, and in some cases physically or sexually. And at the end of the day the Lord don't want you to expose yourself to any type of abuse, pain, or heartache unnecessarily. If there is any unforgiveness there. You would need to ask the Lord to help you release it over to Him, and to help you move forward with your life in a healthy way in Jesus name.

People pleasing can be an adaptive survival instinct to trauma known as fawning, its not a "nice" personality trait or something that should be encouraged. Yes we should help people but not at the expense of ending up neglecting ourselves and ending up unfulfilled, overwhelmed and resentful because we're not comfortable with saying NO.

A necessary discussion. I have lived in fear of being rejected and always striving to be useful and available to everyone. The fear of being misunderstood has literally stolen potential friendships I really needed. It's so sad that these thoughts of seeking approval from people plagued my worship too. I refuse this snare and am working on the virtue of contentment. Jesus' love and approval is ENOUGH. I hope I don't have to wait to be older so that I can be bolder

And I have been praying to the Lord to move myself into this season where I can be in a position to do His will, and enjoy what I'm doing at the same time. Which is what I know that He called me to do. Otherwise we can become grouchy, miserable, and inflict that onto others. It's not good for you, anyone you come in contact with, or anyone else around you period. We have to learn that the word no is not a bad thing. In fact it can be a blessing in disguise and a good thing. We have to let God be God in our lives and get out of His way.

I thank God for this video, from.the bottom of my heart. This has been such a blessing, truly. As I'm beginning my walk with the Lord and as I continue to die to self and ask Him to search me and refine me, there are so many things that He's exposing to me that root from my past abuse that I was oblivious to like people-pleasing. And it's hard to ask for help when you don't even know what the problem is, so when you feel stuck and confused, and hear something like this that these women are bold enough to address, it helps brings to light things that have been buried for so long, so again I thank God for this video because it really helped me get understanding of how I can stop self-sabotaging and help others who are doing the same.
