I like how easy they are to prepare, how good they taste, and how well they store. Because of this I have quite a few Brownie recipes. In the past I've always made Brownies using either semi sweet chocolate or unsweetened chocolate. So for this Brownie recipe I decided to replace the chocolate with unsweetened cocoa powder. The result is a really fine tasting Brownie. One that is cake-like with a deep chocolate flavor yet is wonderfully moist and chewy. They make a delicious snack, with or without a dusting of cocoa powder or powdered sugar. And I often like to serve them for dessert with fresh berries and maybe a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Thank you for the easy recipe. Lost my Mom's recipe from the 70's only used cocoa powder. Amazing how extravagant brownies have become one used three sticks of butter with two bakers chocolate bar, another 100 hour brownie, and another with brown butter. Thank you for the simple recipe.

The best brownie recipe ever. My son, a chocoholic, and my guests yesterday, simply loved it! I tried the recipe with zero substitutions . One recipe I've seen on other channels is one where you have two batters, a cookie batter on the bottom (usually chocolate chip) and a brownie batter on top. Might be a fun video idea! Or a brownie batter with peanut butter swirls.
