Even some of my 'sort of woke' friends laugh at JP's material. It's brilliant, spot on and very effective. In authoritarian regimes, the most effective means of criticizing the psychopaths is via humor.

The problem is, they'll still vote and think the exact same way. No self reflection occurs. They'll laugh, then do and/or support the same shit they're laughing at. And the cycle continues. Cognitive Dissonance is my favorite American characteristic.

I was at the mall last weekend. I saw a little girl, probably 5 years old, trying to get her grandma’s attention to show her the “stairs that aren’t like normal stairs”. It was the escalator, of course. But this is a 5 year old. They should have seen an escalator a long time ago and not be enchanted by it. BUT, what happens when you’re a 5 year old who barely left their house since you were 2 and a half because of Covid paranoia? She doesn’t know what an escalator IS at five years old. You might think that’s a minor thing, but it’s not. Kids absorb their world very quickly just by being exposed to it. Who knows what other things this kid doesn’t understand after losing all that time over lies?

I agree, mostly. Except. I have a 4 year old that doesn’t know what an escalator is and we never locked down. I never let her wear a mask. I live in a rural area. Lol. Closest mall with an escalator is like 2 hours away. Lol. I haven’t seen an escalator in years.

I love JP, but also as a Native and a woman I know that I’ve been given privileges that other people haven’t had. I showed up an hour late to a final, and was allowed to take the final in my professor’s office. I failed the final, but made an A in the class. To be fair, I actually was a good student, and it was an honest mistake, but I don’t think many of my other classmates would have been given that opportunity. It really bothers me because I married a white man, and my children look white. I also have 5 boys. I hate the world they are living in.

Normally failing one test shouldn't have too big of an impact on your grade if you were basically perfect in all other areas of the course. But I don't know if your policies are the same but if you failed a final in my campus your entire grade fails with it no matter how far ahead you were in the class. So obviously with that policy in mind you are unbelievably blessed. I do hope you can continue obtaining good fortune even if it feels wrong exploit the system for the betterment of your loved ones always.

This is best anyway. Bank of America is just closing down accounts. Not over-drafted accounts, accounts in good standing. People are having their money sent to them via checks only to be informed that this check was cancelled when they go to deposit it in a different bank. They're not based in America and are probably just stealing people's money. I expect the government to not care and not look into it.

i have been watching for a couple of years, i honestly don't remember his old takes on 2a, but the way he just laid out how in the last 80ish years a lot of people were met with totalitarian regimes after handing in their guns, he does bring the metrics and the background info quite up front. but i could see how he maybe started to realize how freedom of speech and private ownership is guarded through the 2nd amandment as the commies became more radicalized, wouldn't be the first or only one to realize that having that gun gives you leverage against people that just want to take everything you love by force JP certainly seems to breathe this new age hippie who loves freedom and the america he grew up in, it seems to be the main thread in all his social criticism, he also seems to pretty much respect every talking point enough to make a very good joke or satitical comment/ridiculous analogue about the content/contengency of the matter, you can tell he does inform himself and does his due diligence of actually addressing things without outright demonizing it like late night mouthpieces, he's more of an independent thinker. i mean he always peddled weird holistic crap, but AJ did push weird product to, and AJ turned out be very fucking real in many of his beliefs.... it can be just as much of an indicator people are into weird spiritual things than them not being serious, JPcertainly seems to respect his body and does seem to have a bit of an obsession with health and peace of mind like a buddhist. to me it seems almost all of his harshest social commentary and criticism seem to revolve around his live an let live and nostalgic american dream principles, pretty much everything of his harshest work shows disdain for forcing things on people and not giving them choice.

@@jamieparrish5143 it's almost like there's sometimes overlap between being more conservative and being a gae libertarian, just like nick lol basically it's one foot in conservatism in trying to conserve the good days of the america they loved to grow up in at this point, right? :P sometimes you can be biased, then see how your bias is actually a bit counterproductive, or at the very least counterintuitive to the good intent you have deep inside the only reason the west got in so much shit, is because we were high trust societies with mostly friendly intent toward others, we tolerated so much, that we now are expected to tolerate their shit that is downright abusive to us, as we realize sometimes shit has to get worse before you realize it was better.

I figured out a long time ago that expectations lead to disappointment. So in order to alleviate that problem you have to either lower or remove your expectations. I just stopped expecting people to be good people, I stopped expecting people to be courteous, I stopped expecting people to tell the truth - So when they are shitty people who don't even hold the door open for you and then they lie about everything, I'm not disappointed. It leads to a somewhat nihilistic outlook but I no longer suffer that pang of betrayal when someone disappoints me. And on the other hand it leads to more happiness because it's really easy for people to surprise me when I don't expect anything from them. When they do even the smallest things like holding open the door for you, it's a nice surprise now, lol. When you have no expectations of anyone, even the smallest courtesies become a surprise.

Rekieta talking about the banking story reminded me of a story my dad told me, that when he applied to work at the local fire department in the 90s that at the first meeting a woman came out in front of the group and told them flat out: "If you're not a woman or a minority you will be passed on for this job." He then continued to work as a brick layer until 2010 or 2009 and when we moved he landed his dream job of being a cop. He still works there now. So all's well that ends well but still, imagine if the roles had been reversed: "If you're not white or a man, don't expect to be hired." it would be shamed and mocked relentlessly.

I dared to mildly suggest, as a fellow concerned Christian that one role of us as parents is to encourage our Children to look to God's Design for them, rather than just their own subjective feelings or the mood of their peer group. Boy did I get a COLD 🥶 ❄️ RECEPTION ! I teach and I can't get kindergarten kids to get the concept of "spread out". Like give yourself space between you and the person next to you. So I totally get that they would know they are tranz. These people are really gross.

@@gen-xboomer9489 I understand. I don't use autocorrect, so I don't have that issue and I forget that is a problem sometimes. I'm getting sick of the way this world is headed. We don't trust kids to drive, buy guns, vote or get a loan from a bank. But we can let Billy decide he is Billie when he was a dinosaur yesterday and a race car last week. Where are we going? What will the end result be here?

Knew a guy that worked for the city. He manned a toll booth at the local dump where you pay to dump your crap based on weight. He was caught stealing money out of the till so instead of firing him they transfered him to another department and to add insult to injury his new department paid a few dollars more an hour, so he was basically promoted for stealing because he was a minority and the city was afraid of a lawsuit. Meanwhile if one of us did it we would not only be fired but also taken to court.

that is what I was told. Was especially told it by the executives of my private school. Told about how paying my loans would be trivial with the job their excellent placement services and relationships got me. Guess what I got upon graduation from the supposed superstar? "Do vounlteer work, idk how to help the disabled" BTW be sure to pay back that 150k we assured you we personally had an interest in you not defaulting on.

Can confirm. I was denied entry into a middle school engineering club for being born wrong (SWM). This would’ve been in the early 90s, before I understood what a minority was, as we didn’t use those words back then. I can’t explain the confusion I experienced, and my minority friends who talked me into signing up were just as confused. We grew up really poor. Add that to a militant man-hating feminist mom and lack of a father figure. Sometimes I look back and don’t know how I survived. I didn’t get in tune with my masculinity until my mid 30s after some heavy bubble-breaking research. That was extremely difficult to face, but it was so worth it. I hope more disenfranchised men can do the same, and hopefully at an earlier stage in their lives. If people are looking for suggestions, check out Paul Elam or Warren Farrell’s work. It can make such a huge difference.
