You've got to listen to The Verve, they're from my hometown, Wigan, only 20 miles away from Manchester and Liverpool. The northwest of England is home to music in England, so many great musicians have come from both these cities and the surrounding areas.

I’m 51 now, but when Oasis and Blur ruled the radio waves in Britain I was 24, and at Art College, studying Product design. How time flies! When I graduated I thought I would live forever and stay young and never age. How arrogant I was as a young man. Lol. Life’s struggles, traumas, and ups and downs was a wake up call for me. Life is never stagnant, and it’s trajectory is never linear, and should never be taken for granted, because life has a tendency to be full of the unexpected, especially, when you least expect it, bringing both good and bad fortunes. Oasis are bloody brilliant. As time goes by, I appreciate them more now than I did back than.

Since the lead singer of Funboy Three died recently, I'd love you to hear music from the Black and White label . Terry Hall was a really lovely human being. He and his band made Bluebeat, reggae, and ska very popular in the UK. I hope you get to hear them and I'd love to see your reaction.

Jps check out "Madness" they were one of the most influential bands to come out of the 1980s They came from Camden Town in London England and we're at the forefront of all the music and fashions coming out of London in the 1980s basically Madness was one of the biggest bands of 1980s Britain. "Our house" "Driving in my car" "Baggy trousers" "Embarrassment" "House of Fun" "Yesterday's Man" and we can't leave out "Uncle Sam" There's loads more also they are one of the most influential bands of the 1980s in the UK

I was like yeh their ok but i was young and too busy listening to 90's house music . Way better LOL Listening to them now i can see how they became absolutely massive , great songs, , great vocals , great band .

Funny, being in the US, listening to bands like #Blur , #Oasis , #Pulp , #Echobelly , etc was quite niche and once I moved to the UK in '96, I figured I'd be around loads of folks listening to the same, but I found that while there were plenty more #britpop fans, there were still a majority of folks who could care less and were into house, garage, pop or nothing in particular.

Can I propose you react to: * Pulp - Common People * Blur - Country House As per my other comment, Blur were the rivals to Oasis (different in sound but very successful) Pulp were another huge band of that era. Common People is a brilliant song with an iconic video. I’ve seen a lot of other reaction channels react to this song. It’s video on KZbin (VEVO) has 44 million views!

Oasis is, by far, my favorite band of all time. Liam is one of the best rock and roll singers ever and Noel is an amazing songwriter. I would recommend "Don't Look Back In Anger" or "Champagne Supernova" from them next. Also, if you'd like to listen to more Britpop, can I recommend the song "Girls and Boys" by Blur, the second biggest Britpop act behind Oasis.

We Brits often feel we don't have a lot to brag about but British music is something we are very proud of. Coldplay is another massive British band. Hello Joel. Another brick in the Madchester Wonderwall. I went back home over the Pennines, just as the Manchester scene kicked off and you should look at Stone Roses who were in the vanguard at that time. When I was there James were the up and coming local band, but you could say The Smiths were already setting the bar high and New Order had been reaching it. A friend, who was working in Manchester when the scene started, says Oasis are just a Beatles tribute act styled after the original Madchester bands, but then he is a big fan of Rolling Stones.

The Lightening Seeds + The Charlatans are so fun and catchy ! (Highly recommend, I'm sure others will agree too) They're all part of the Britpop phenomenon we had from 1995-1997, was + still is just the best music. Also Britpop is all about being adolescent + saying what you want, all the artists within this genre were around your age..

Joel, I was in my mid 20s at the time of Oasis and they provided the soundtrack to some of the best years of my life. As I have got older, I have come to the conclusion my best advice for people of your age is just get out there , enjoy life and do all the crazy stuff because before you know it life will be career and mortgages. On a music note, do have a look at the Charlatans as I think they were massively underrated . As a starter have a look at their song ‘ The only one I know’. Keep up the good work.

Hey Joel, I love alot of different kinds of music as well. Would like to take you back to the 60s during the British Invasion which I loved. There's a song by The Yardbirds called Happenings Ten Years Time Ago. Love that song. Check out some bands from that time. The Animals, The Rolling Stones, Dave Clark 5, just to name a few. ,

Great track. Try Paulo Nutini from Paisley Scotland. I love most of his stuff but Iron Sky is a classic!

A reaction and thoughts on a British band called Embrace would be good I think you'd like them. A few of their songs I recommend are, Nature's law, Gravity and Come back to what you know.
