@Anthony Ruiz The United States invaded more countries than russia LOL , yet for some reason russia invades one country and its bad , when they never complained about the US invading the Middle East. A1914-1918 - a series of invasions of Mexico. 1914-1934 - Haiti. After numerous rebellions, America introduces its troops, the occupation lasts 19 years. 1916-1924 - 8-year occupation of the Dominican Republic. 1917-1933 - military occupation of Cuba, economic protectorate. 1917-1918 - participation in World War I. 1918-1922 - intervention in Russia. In total, it was attended by 14 states. Active support was provided to the territories separated from Russia - Kolchakia and the Far Eastern Republic. 1918-1920 - Panama. After the election troops are introduced to suppress unrest. 1919 - COSTA RICA. U.S. troops are landed to "protect American interests." 1919 - U.S. troops fight on the side of Italy against the Serbs in Dolmatia. 1919 - U.S. troops enter Honduras during elections. 1920 - Guatemala. 2-week intervention. 1921 - U.S. support for guerrillas fighting to overthrow Guatemalan President Carlos Herrera for the benefit of the United Fruit Company. 1922 - intervention in Turkey. 1922-1927 - U.S. troops in China during the People's Revolt. 1924-1925 - Honduras. Troops invade the country during elections. 1925 - Panama. U.S. troops break a general strike. 1926 - Nicaragua. Invasion. 1927-1934 - U.S. troops are stationed throughout China. 1932 - Invasion of El Salvador by sea. There was a rebellion there at this time. 1937 - Nicaragua. With the help of U.S. troops, dictator Somoza comes to power, deposing the legitimate government of J. Sakasa. 1939 - The introduction of troops into China. 1947-1949 - Greece. U.S. troops participate in civil war, supporting fascists. 1948-1953 - hostilities in the Philippines. 1950 - Uprising in Puerto Rico is suppressed by U.S. troops. 1950-1953 - Armed intervention in Korea by about one million American soldiers. 1958 - Lebanon. Occupation of the country, counterinsurgency. 1958 - confrontation with Panama. 1959 - America enters Laos, the first clashes of U.S. troops in Vietnam begin. 1959 - Haiti. The suppression of a popular uprising against the pro-American government. 1960 - After José María Velasco is elected president of Ecuador and refuses to submit to U.S. demands to break relations with Cuba, the Americans conduct several military operations and organize a coup. 1960 - U.S. troops enter Guatemala to prevent the removal of a U.S. puppet from power. 1965-1973 - Military aggression against Vietnam. 1966 - Guatemala. ...U.S. troops enter the country, massacring Indians who were considered potential rebels. 1966 - Military aid to the pro-American governments of Indonesia and the Philippines. . (60,000 people were arrested for political reasons, with the government officially employing 88 torture specialists). 1971-1973 - bombing of Laos. 1972 - Nicaragua. U.S. troops are brought in to support a government favored by Washington. 1983 - Military intervention in Grenada by about 2,000 Marines. 1986 - Attack on Libya. Bombing of Tripoli and Benghazi. 1988 - invasion of Honduras by U.S. troops. 1988 - U.S. warship Vincennes, in the Persian Gulf, shoots down an Iranian plane with 290 passengers on board, including 57 children. 1989 - U.S. troops suppress riots in the Virgin Islands. 1991 - large-scale military action against Iraq. 1992-1994 - Occupation of Somalia. Armed violence against civilians, killing of civilians. 1998 - Sudan. Americans destroy a pharmaceutical plant with a missile strike, claiming it produces nerve gas. 1999 - Ignoring international law, bypassing the UN and the Security Council, U.S. NATO forces launched a 78-day campaign of aerial bombardment of the sovereign nation of Yugoslavia. 2001 - invasion of Afghanistan. 2003 - Bombing of Iraq. 2011 - Libya.

Russia is not creative? Do you realize that they have produced some of the worlds greatest authors and poets, paintings, classical music, architecture, mathematicians and scientists? Russia is GORGEOUS. The reason that you don't buy much that is Russian is: 1. they screwed themselves with communism 2. ever since communism they have been the world's whipping boy. It's the one country you can shit on in any context and cannot support for any reason in America. All the former Soviet states have basically put all the sins of the Soviet Union onto Russia in an effort to suck up to the US and NATO. That's like if the US broke up and all the former states put all the Democrats' sins (slavery, internment, medical experimentation, jim crow, segregation, etc) on the back of DC and claimed that they were all 'captive' of DC during the USA. Russia is a fabulous country and culture. They may not always have good politics, but we certainly don't either. The reason they love Putin so much is that he is a patriot through and through. Everything he does is for them. Bad in our eyes, but great in theirs. They look past some of the violence and corruption because they have an attitude like 'that's what it takes'. We have our own version of that. You attribute mysterious deaths of critics as fact that he had them killed, yet you treat mysterious deaths of Hillary's critics as a conspiracy theory. There is no more evidence for one than the other. All-in-all, Russia and Russians are fiercely loyal to their people and will defend territory, heritage or ethnicity to no end, but they generally want everyone to just piss off and leave them alone.
@НиколайГордиенко-ф7кАй бұрын
You wrote everything correctly. It can be pointed out that the USSR has invaluable experience in building a fair state: free school education, higher education, medical care, free apartments for living. Do not believe in the tens of millions who died as a result of political repression. According to the 1940 census, 180 million people lived in the USSR. At the time of the collapse of the USSR in 1991, the figure was 290 million. This despite the fact that during the WWII the USSR lost 27 million people.

Some Guy Just to bring some light: truth not heard about Russians have got talents and they are gone to where they are valued better. Watch for Russian names - they are everywhere (especially English speaking countries). I live in Sydney and nearly see as many Russians here as left in my hometown - former soviet capital - Tashkent. Btw Russian boxers are mostly the guys living closer to Caucasus that are traditionally fighting nations (culture different from Russian) . However the idea that Russians are oppressed by those in power - is in Russian culture. There is a story that is part of Russian literature school program “who lives well in Rus” where peasants tell the stories of their slavery like lives. Similarly during Communism people were treated like an element of big machine. I liked how on one famous Russian podcast Russian migrants agreed that Russian culture is desire to suffer. I.e. the mum of a famous comedian asks for a ticket to his show: “Just let me stay somewhere near the wall”. Comedian replies “I will surely get you one in the first row, no prob mum”. “No need, i will be fine standing by the wall”. This might sound absurd but my mum asks similar things - it is the whole generation of parents. I have a friend married to British, living in Australia with 4 kids. When her mum comes to Au her purpose is to help with kids and household. When her mother-in-law comes she spends the vacation around Au (taking grand kids for a day out of two weeks)... My mum thinks if someone criticises Putin they offend Russia the Motherland. And that is what happens to most brainwashed people. They think the authorities (Putin first of all) is Russia, they represent Russia and can’t be humiliated. Recently a new law got signed - you can’t make jokes on Russian authorities. There is a song by Zemfira (famous gay Russian rock singer) with lyrics “my mum and dad turned into TVs a long time ago”. My mum too btw - we can’t talk politics in the family. As I and my husband both raised by Russian parents and teachers are “Russofobs”. The term Russian media came up for people who offend Mother Russia “afraid of Russia”...

Joe needs to get out and travel more. Spend time with the locals and develop a more balanced perspective on how the USA relates to the world. You cannot develop this perspective from within the US borders. It would make him an even more interesting and credible interviewer. He could conduct interviews with local figures while overseas. Now THAT would be interesting and informative.

@@bigchivo4199 No, Joe has been to a lot of places just for UFC events. Meaning he goes to a city and in there for 2-3 days at the most and then comes home. Joe has repeatedly made statements about his fear of traveling to other countries. Listen to his podcast with Robert Shoch for just a small example. Shoch asked Joe if he'd been to Egypt and when Joe said no Shoch kept excitedly saying that Joe had to come with him sometime to see the wonders there and it was pretty obvious that Joe wasn't gonna be doing that any time soon. Joe's narrow attitude on the rest of the world really is a microcosm for the average American. Which is ultimately pretty sad since he's got a such a great platform to reach out to people from and is also wealthy enough that he could easily go to a lot of the more sketchy area of the world in relative safety and comfort.
@Tom-tk3du5 жыл бұрын
@@bigchivo4199 Jose, there's a huge difference between visiting a place for a few days versus really getting to know the locals and their viewpoint. Joe could really do a service for Americans by conducting long interviews with foreign thought leaders. Americans live in a virtual bubble because of our geography and do not have a good understanding of how the rest of the world views America. I've spent half my adult life outside of the USA. I've come to learn that we're all brothers and sisters with similar hopes and aspirations across many areas, regardless of race, culture or creed. We have much to learn from each other. Anthony Bourdain came closest to capturing many such insights, though in less depth than what Rogan might accomplish..

Lol that’s literally how wars work. This isn’t some super insightful piece of wisdom, it’s common sense. Being critical of strategic bombing doctrine is just simple ignorance.
@SuperLusername3 жыл бұрын
@@chetmanley220 I agree with you. I just thought it interesting to share a quote of the guy who led the largest strategic air bombing campaign in history because it was connected to the theme of the video. IIRC It cost the allies about 7% of their military industrial capacity to conduct strategic bombing and after the war it was calculated that being bombed (so direct losses in materiel, losses in wasted time of production, losses in materiel, workforce and time for reconstruction and repairs...) cost the Axis about 17% of their military industrial capacity. So it was a net gain for the allies.

I had a high school teacher say, on WWII, the Russians were poorly trained, losing, fighting barefoot, and eating the dead. Then America "saved" everyone. Only class I was proud to fail. I apologize, it's awful, if we don't acknowledge our faults we'll never change. And that teacher was a cunt, who will definitely die alone and be eaten by her cats.
