I don't know why I'm just finding this, but I remember him talking about this expedition in his earlier episode. It's so cool to think he found what he was looking for. Not only was it extinct, but just seeing him hopeful about finding it only to see he accomplished his goal is inspiring. This is what I've been interested in doing for years and hearing this man speak only gives people hope that not all is lost.

Colombian conservation biologist Sergio Balaguera-Reina discovered the caiman a month before Forest. Forest heard about Sergio’s findings and where he exactly found the caiman and went down with a camera crew to find these caimans for his TV show and claim that he found this “extinct” animal. Sergio discovered these caimans first not forest. Sergio deserves the recognition. FYI these caiman species were known to be there in Colombia the only reason they haven’t been seen in 30 years was because that whole region was controlled by the drug cartels. The ecosystem was untouched by people for years because of it.

@robc17654 жыл бұрын
100% agreed, if it exists (or existed), has a humanoid'ish type body shape, if someone from a period of time (25, 50, 100 years ago) were to see it standing, what else would they describe it as? On top of that, researchers and investigators would be looking for something else when it comes to remains of this creature, they're not looking for a giant sloth.
