It takes a lot to break from the common habit of saying "um" and "uh" when you make the effort to exercise your articulation, you become surprised to find out that people would rather give you some time to formulate an answer because it's coming from an honest place and when your engaged in conversation, a person who is really listening won't interrupt your pausing to think. This is the sign of a person who is in pursuit of bettering oneself on a personal level, on a deep level, to communicate more strongly and with greater eloquence to truly use your very self to reach out to people with powerful thoughts. I'm not a Kanye fan, don't listen to his music, I found him pretentious any time I saw him in the past. The only song I liked by him was "Through The Wire" because that came from a deep place and you feel that. But people can better themselves and get to a point where they are doing what it takes to ensure that when speaking or communicating with another human being conversation on both sides have power to them, I know this because I myself find myself pausing to think at times to answer in a more artful way with my intention to be purely honest and really put the effort in to the engagement of two or more beings actually exchanging ideas with one another. It's unbelievably powerful to become skillfully oratorical and it's something that practice makes perfect through dedication and reading and writing and listening and honesty. It's a pleasant surprise. And as far as his answer about being consulted by the top men in the field, you tell me the last time Obama or Trump or Bush or even Kennedy or even Lincoln studied as deeply as the generals that lead their armies. 5 star generals consult the Chief of Staff and they offer advise on which route might be best, then they take his order. I went from thinking this man is a joke to actually respecting him as a man and as an American citizen within the midst of this video from his demeanor and the level of seriousness he took such an important question with complicated answers, he really gave an absolutely astonishing answer from the heart. It's not deep, it's simply a man giving his honest answer on something that matters not just to us Americans but every other person in the world, enemies and allies alike. Studying politics and warfare is not something that you can grasp unless you understand all the consequences that can come from an action or a poor choice of words or a strong speech or an unguided decision or an irrational one or a completely well thought out tactic, it is truly complex in theory, and the level of complexity is only multiplied because behind those things are real human beings that hang in the balance. I'm very very surprised, happily surprised.

I think Kanye is an Artist in the truest sense of the word, but I don’t think he should be a president. I do believe he truly wants to help people even if it is a way of venting his narcissism. That’s another thing, people are always saying he is is narcissistic and that may be true but is he evil for being that way? From the whole interview I think he comes from a place of kindness but he is often dragged down by his own ego or distractions. This whole interview was a huge stream of consciousness but it truly showed how Kanye thinks. All the movie references he makes is also an interesting thing because it shows that in order to make a point he has to make comparisons so people will understand, he cannot articulate his thoughts well through words, but as I said before he can articulate them through his art.
