True. I've worked in Hollywood in motion graphics for decades. The 90s and early 2000s were the best times because technology wasn't as advanced, budgets were huge, and most people were glued to TV and film, going to theaters, etc. From the 2010s onward, you can see a shift. Budgets have tightened, technology has become more powerful, cheaper, and mainstream. Overseas labor has become a trend. Now, with AI, it's the final blow. While talented people will be okay, many will either lose their jobs or see their wages plummet. It's interesting to see how society will address this problem. Considering human greed, I can definitely envision a dark future. Blue-collar workers will be replaced by illegal immigrants. Dystopia seems very real.
@Jambalayaorb3 ай бұрын
Parts of the planet that are incredibly densely populated are going to become inhabitable pretty soon. That will result in mass migration which will cause global wars and the collapse of society as we know it due to economic collapse and most likely nuclear war. Covid nearly broke us. Climate change will end it all. The data is there to see. Exponential temperature change is in process which will trigger feedback loops. Runaway climate change has now begun. Cyaaaaaa

I recently was on a cruise... And I had a high appreciation for the two cruise comics we had on the boat. They had two different sets.... One clean for the family, and one adults only for the grown ups. They did a great job, but I was on the boat for 4 days.... And was ready to get off .. I could only imagine how it was for the comedians....

*GOOD* No more gatekeeping. Anybody that wants to make a movie, do a show, do whatever can do it now. That's what a Type 1 civilization is. Welcome to Star Trek where anybody can do anything so they chose to do whatever life path interests them without worry about money.

Ideas are the real gold. AI will give people with great ideas a better way to execute on their ideas without needing anyone else. Creators who are already doing amazing things will be amplified by AI. Eventually we will need to go back to having imperfection with art, because the nature of all art is about the human experience of creating. If there is no sacrifice ,struggle, or effort put forth to create something it kind of defeats the purpose. Art is what keeps us connected to the earth and who we are as humans.
@alexlifeson13213 ай бұрын
No they won't be amplified because the AI can do better than them and their art can be modyfied be the consumer or easily and seamlessly copied with an hint of originality. AI would master those imperfections you're reffering to as well, a story about struggle doesnt require actual struggle. plus we can't confirm who's using AI or not, so authenticity is a guess.
@sonnylambert48933 ай бұрын
Can't decide if that rambling illogical dribble is worse or that a handful of others agree w it. You STILL don't understand the intent of the creation of AI is ULTIMATELY to create a sanitized, comatose, FULLY CONTROLLED society until its time that the masses are no longer needed by the El-ites aka Masters who are driving the push for AI. You live in a video game fantasy mentality
