She had a very happy presence. I am sure she will do well in her career. I am bingeing through your videos this weekend. I worked on ships out of the the Port of Miami as a Network Engineer (contractor). We were told don't talk to crew nor guests. We were on the lowest totem pole despite being high wage earners. If we had to cruise along our quarters looked this size except two bunks and no storage and supposedly no private bathroom/shower. You had a shared one in the hall. Luckily I didn't have to do any overnights. I worked Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Viking/Princess, Oceania.

Staying at the YMCA (and eating the food they serve) is definitely the worse part of the Watford/Steiner experience! haha. My first contact was on Carnival with Steiner. In a few weeks I'll join Cunard Cruise lines working for a different onboard spa company. they offer 6 month contacts, 1000USD base pay and 10-12hr work days.

Hello from TEXAS ! 🤠 Another nice video. I feel like you might miss working on a ship. Maybe there are some aspects that you probably won't miss. But if you're like me. I definitely like exploring new aspects of life. And I know that being on a cruise ship you can definitely do that. Talk to different people of all different backgrounds and such. Must have been amazing. As with anything sometimes you just have to grow. And I can't hate on that!

Can you drink on the ship as an employee? I worked in a hotel and very strict with that. We couldn't drink on the property.

Hope this helps! 1) depends on how busy the spa is if you are fully booked you can have anywhere between 8-10 guests again depends on what treatments you are doing as some take longer than others , 2) yes you have to do a theory exam in the academy but it’s mostly practical exams 3) Yes but the expections were a lot higher than I thought it would be. A little too demanding 4) Hardest things was the long hours everyday

NCL this week Barcelona to north africa - no spa for me too much money - i go for massage and facials here in florida often - also the gym is a must every day while cruising to keep those pounds off. as a spin instructor here - im often wondered if the crew that does this class on ship are certified LOL also never going to pay for extra stuff on ship :( over 70+ cruises - cheap traveller.

can't see if this has been asked before, BUT, why are the treatments so expensive on board..?? I had booked a massage on my last cruise two years ago and they wanted $300 AUD for one person, so I cancelled..!! for the same massage on land it's between $75 - $100, depending where you go...I can understand being about $50 more on board, but a hike of 200% is overkill...I'm sorry, but I REFUSE to spend that amount of money on myself, regardless of how much I may need it...

Regarding employees in the spa are they given full access of the ship for example have they got a yellow card to go wherever they want on the ship 🛳

How many hrs of sleep do u have since u working 14 hrs a day

I wasn’t working those hours my friend were but they would typically average like 4-5 hrs of sleep a night. I was just something they adjusted to!

@@JSHIPLIFE Omg I can't 4 to 5 hrs. Thats nkt enough after workin an 14 hrs shift smh .If my body don't get 8 or 9 hrs of rest it shut down. My eyes will b red.I will yawn whole day. My body movement will b sllow.im interested in working on a cruise ship but am afraid.
