Thank you for the long video! 30 minutes of blessed Doog laughs! I knew the cultured Korone would pick up a lot of the references! Funny how all the JP girls react with "wait, is this okay?" when it comes to the more overt parodies, considering that JP copyright really doesn't allow for this sort of thing. Very glad she enjoyed this game a lot!

Even Nintendo of America used to exercise their copyright protection to the full extent they could before toning it down a bit (but still doing it to an extent). Nintendo of Japan even recently told streamers they *cannot* restream the E3 Nintendo Direct. Which confused western audiences as that tweet got around with no confirmation from Nintendo of America about shit, and I still don't think they said anything but it was very likely just meant for the Japanese audience. But they go around taking down harmless fan games and whatnot, sometimes even releasing much worse versions of the ideas they took down, i.e. Mario 99.

Aaaaaa the livestream was so much fun, I knew she was loving the references even tho I couldn't understand her Now being able to read what she exactly she was saying is real nice I can't get over her reaction to the Mother 2 reference, that was pure, unadulterated surprise, and a pleasant one at that This is half an hour of pure serotonin, seein Korone genuinely be excited to see the things she loves in unexpected places I don't see a lot of passion these days, not as pure as this anyway, reminds me of myself, and what I look for

22:35 is actually two references in one: the Undertale reference is most obvious, but the line "I didn't think I'd have to use this", and the fact that the character is named Mr. Macbeth is also a Star Fox 64 reference. The planet Macbeth is the train mission where you're chasing down an evil conductor who's trying to get you off his tail. "I didn't think I'd have to use this" is the line he says immediately before the boss fight where he pulls out his secret weapon.

8:13 English must sound so weird to Japanese people with words like this. How do you even go about figuring out how to say that as a Japanese person? De-ru-ku? Di-ru-ku? Do they translate R to ru and K to ku? Man.
@derais_music3 жыл бұрын
It would be ダーク(dāku), making it a homophone to dark. Why isn't it デーク(dēku)? Well, it could be, but burn, which has the same vowel, is バーン(bānn) and not ベーン(bēnn).
@mvnkycheez3 жыл бұрын
iirc Japanese people are used to reading latin letters in the context of romanji, so when they read English they are used to reading it as if it were Japanese but it's not at all haha
