Not very effective, how do I even think of a real life thing that's related to e.g. history? Im a CBSE board 10th
@SneshraSimprome2 ай бұрын
@@priyanshudash2986 immersion is just thinking about that stuff all day ( most of the time) so you just have to think and connect information, like in nationalism in India, since you're Indian, you have to understand that chapter like a story. And actually History is easy it's just we get overwhelmed by the amount of information we have to remember, and writing them in an exaggerating manner in exam, and since you're in 10th, don't get scared or overwhelmed of boards ok, cause you don't know how hard is 11th, so for history, there's another method that I used: step1: just read the whole chapter without underlining and understanding any line or word, It's just mindless reading. Step2: now read again with highlighting important points, making questions and understanding each and every line. Step 3: Now read again only those highlighted and underlined lines, self made questions. And in the last practice questions. I know you will think this method is time consuming par tum in 3 steps ko 1 din me kar sakte ho actually kuchh ghante ka gap leke. And I am telling you this is the best method for SST you will remember the info. Forever. And follow advices of Shobhit nirwan and Kushal sarkar blindly, well this advice was given by Kushal sarkar in one of his videos
@SneshraSimprome2 ай бұрын
@@priyanshudash2986I have another advice for you, After boards don't get hyped for 11th , don't start studying for 11th right away, start studying from 25 March or 1 April specially if you're taking science and join coaching as early as possible, cause I took wrong advice from some idiot senior and started studying from 17 March and got overwhelmed obviously because I was exhausted and I didn't took proper rest, and rest doesn't mean eating junk and binge watching anything, it means going outside, calming your mind, spending time with right people and improving yourself and taking care of yourself. And also don't make this mistake of thinking that 11 will be better than 10th as you will choose subjects of your interest, it's not true actually cause I chose my favourite subject and I realised this, 11th has a vast syllabus and most of the chapters are really hard and take alot of time,and don't be dependent on teachers, and in those 3 months don't waste your time , you will regret it, cause you're never going to get holidays as long as those, so in those 3 months enjoy+ Study and make yourself better.

Something I do at the end of every day is just recall everything I did in my day and by everything I mean everything including stuff like what I was thinking when something was happening and at first I dont remember much of the day but as time passes I noticed my memory got super good to the point here I could remember word for word every lecture each teacher said. IDK if this has much to do with the studying part but I dont even need to revise before some exams (though for a few I still just read the lesson once before an exam)

I also got perfect SQA (Scottish qualifications :>) in my National 5's (basically the first level of actual qualifications), but I experienced some severe burnout and really did let my work absolutely consume me sometimes and had really little time for my own thing - which was tough, although between new year and early summer before exams I had a big mental shift and was able to space my work out much more healthily - and while I'm already coping better with my Highers than I was coping last year, I know it's something I can endlessly improve and I'm constantly looking for more ways to work efficiently/effectively and still have time to do what I love so I don't get burnout. Honestly, it is a lot easier since this year I'm only doing 5 subjects (the max you can do this year) and except for maths they are all subjects I thrive in and I can see around me pretty often, so the immersion trick should be easy to implement! Thank you so much :)

I'm a grade 8 student, basically undergoing lower secondary education, and I have something I need help with. Last year, I excelled in my academics. I was top of the class without trying. I spent around 10-30 minutes studying topics I had struggled with, and after that study session, I completely understood the fundamentals of whatever topic I had to review. Basically, I was one of those stereotypical asian students. However, on this school year, I'm doing worse, a lot worse compared to how I had performed last year. I spent no time to study during the summer break, and enjoyed it to the fullest. Right now, it's a week before examinations, I'm getting back on track, but I fear that I'll never regain my confidence and intelligence. Sadly, I still feel like the dumbest student in the class. What do I do?

I got 9A and a B (which is art, I'm really suck at drawing, my coloring is flat and dull) in my previous exam. Im not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting this grade though cause throughout the whole week before exam, I don't study much. I even scrolling yt shorts, and play some mobile games mid study lol. But when I study, I'll make sure i enjoy that period. When i want to have a 5 minute break, I shift my focus completely to other things, like KZbin, just so I don't mix remembering between math formulas and some brain rot content. My strategy is just enjoy study. Make study something u enjoy to do. It doesn't really matter on how short the study will be (not too short though, probably 20 mins is the minimum for me), just fully focus on what u try to recall or read at that period. I don't like study often or even study for more than 1 hour in one sitting. But when i do, i make sure that i will remember and understand things i read. Basically, it's similar as Immersion Studying tho About math, just solve questions. Don't know what questions to do? Just ask ChatGPT to make some for u lol
