I grew up with a very abusive father every day was yelling screaming and tantrums it effected me deeply in life from schooling to my own happiness even 30 years later. To see your son happy with what looks like good self esteem is enjoyable, he is very lucky to have this healthy positive environment growing up

I agree with you MASH MASH. My father was verbally as well as physically abusive as well. I can relate how this has affected me as well. I've grown since, but I chose to forgive my father and moved on. I agree with what you mentioned with Ralphie. He seems like a great young kid and will take what he has learned (and still learning) and will apply it to other aspects in life positively. Have a good evening and rest of your week!

Love your channel. I’m restoring a 52 Ford 1 ton (F3) that my grandad bought new for his building business. I have many great memories of me and my brothers piling into that with my dad and going to help him at his Christmas tree farm. I managed to get the truck back and am in the tear down phase. That tool tray behind the seat is actually factory and it looks like your truck was painted the same color as my grandad’s the color was called Glenmist Green. Mine has the flathead v8 and heavier axles etc but love that signature grille. I found out the “teeth” in the grill are called dagmars and I think they make that truck look really tough! God Bless you and your family.

That truck is optioned out! Most of them didnt come with a radio or anything. My cousin bought a 1950 model, almost identical to this, other than the color. His had a flathead V8 and a 3 speed with granny low. He had it in the shop having it restored by his niece's now ex husband, who was draggin his feet getting it done. He had it at his shop for probably 3 years. My cousin was having it restored for parades and for me to drive him around our old backroads, just for fun. I was looking so forward to it. He was alot older than me (76) and had been in bad health for nearly 30 years. The truck was a few months away for being done. In August last year he came down with Covid and passed away. He was my preacher, my best friend and my next door neighbor for my entire 41 years of life. Ive had a really hard time since then, because I spent alot of time with him. Him being gone is still a huge missimg chunk out of my life, not being able to go down the road to spend the day with him. This truck just reminded me of the fun we almost got to have together driving his. This put a smile on my face. Thanks Josh. I appreciate yall makin these videos for us to watch and enjoy Buddy.

My father didn't have patience nor knowledge to share with me and my wife despises my project vehicles because I went about it wrong. I tried to get her motivated on a Plymouth Duster one time to no avail. I bought a 72 duster and dropped in a date coded 360 with factory J heads, but she didn't like to get sweaty or dirty. My good friend and I put my late grandfathers old 60 F100 back on the road back in 2018 on his gravel driveway. Its a surreal feeling hearing a truck that was a part of the family roar back to life. That kids ear to ear grin proved that :-)

First video I watched of yours, but the coolest I've seen on youtube in a long time. How real is it that you tell your son to go play with matches and he is smart enough to not go be stupid with them. I bet you have guns and your kids know how to shoot. Its good to see the real America instead of all the BS on TV. People like us are what really make America work. I'll be watching more of your videos. Thanks for being REAL man. I love it.
