My dad once owned a 63 impala convertible man he's was solid no rust and was perfect he had it painted a tangerine orange /red custom it was a driver he took to work and weekends Cruz car was original like said was the best impala I ever saw no bando" car was straight but sadly sold it to a guy who was going strip it and do it bottom up over it didn't need that but he was guy had money but offer my dad a little. Point of story he sold it to cheep :( man if he had that car still would be at less 24k or more car was that clean . Now a days guys be asking so much for a rust bucket . Dad owned over 50 impalas !!;) and other Chevys not a rich man but got good deals back in the day went that weren't so iconically representing culture and lifestyle even though it is a lifestyle car it wasn't on t-shirts or on any things people can make money off of other people just exposing the car my dad knows one of the original people who started streetlow magazine so yeah there's always been magazines but this was a time before everyone had a smartphone around the time of the flip phone but man that car was so sweet I would seriously would have loved if you would have kept it and kept it to this day but I was there when he sold it and we knew what what we're doing halfway through the process I was like I might just tell my dad don't sell the car so another since I messed up by not saying that I knew if I would had told not to sell the car he wouldn't have

Brings back memories. I was a child, my parents had a 64. In my early 20’s I relived my childhood. Buying a 64, light metallic blue , just like the one my parents had. Time stamp 3:25/ be careful when using tarry cloth rags when checking the fluids. I used to do it my self, until one day I noticed that fibers were left on the dip stick. And I almost inserted back in the holder. Motor contamination from the lose filters will take its toll on a engine block over time. Mechanic rags or T-shirt is better.

william III paper towel is okay, from your kitchen. Just make sure that the dip stick doesn’t have any paper fibers. The disposable blue shop towels avail at automotive shops don’t leave any fibers.

Same here Mike. When Juan was driving down around Old Town, in the beginning of the video, it brought back so many great memories. Growing up, my best friend's Dad owned a used car lot. My friend and I were always wrenching on something from an old Triumph Herald up to old Chrysler Imperials. I know for a fact it kept my friend and I out of a lot of trouble.

Mike Fifer and Klink.. yep raised up on Pueblo Solano right at the curve when it was a dirt road in my Dad and Mom's little adobe. He turned wrenches and flipped cars on the side when he wasn't working at Sandia. Pontiacs was his favs and mine today. Got a big ole 66 Executive sedan. My first bicycle was a used one but Dad painted it with "airplane paint" so I thought it was extra fast ... lol. Good family parenting is priceless.

I recognize Albequerce from Breaking Bad. I am really proud of myself! (I didn't say that I can spell it) I am not American but I got that vibe from the colour, the mountain range in the distance and the blazing openness of it. It looks so naked and exposed to the sun. All that bitumen, those overpasses across the railway lines. The faded orange tones. Man, that looks like hell..a tough place to live. Now to hear that gangs and drugs are rife...it sounds like a desert version of some apocalypse from Dakota or Alaska. But you can make a decent life for you and your family. Congratulations man. The car is epic. I love 1963 transport designs...cars, trucks, aeroplanes, trains. I also love 1963 music and film. I love 1963 except for architecture and politics. Both suck badly. Those Chevs are awesome. I like Fords of that era too...even the little Falcon, 1963 and a half, sprint. The Ford Fairlane of that time. Awesome. European cars too...even Japanese. 1963 was when the bullet train in Japan - the first epic model, was being trialed for debut in '64. Awesome car, great video, nice story. Roll on.

I had a 63 impala also.Original 283 and took that out and put a 327 cu in 365 hp in her.She was a joy to drive.The only thing I didn't like about it was the two piece drive shaft and that drive shaft support bracket.Amost every time I popped the clutch it would break that bracket .

In Pueblo Co. where I'm at, lowriders come out of the woodwork like cockroaches in the summer. There are too many classic cars over here, it's overwhelming and beautiful to see so many bad ass cars on the streets at all times of the day or night. I love my sleepy little city.
