@@dingribeast But there is a difference from the songs you mentioned when compared to 'Alayum Kaattin'. That is, they both were connected with the death of somebody favourite to the main characters whereas Alayum Kaattin is a song depicting the emotions of a person facing untrue allegations especially from the people who loved the most. The pain emanating from that feeling of he was stupefied by his beloved ones could easily be conveyed to the audiences and indeed they took the feelings of that character in their hearts. This feeling is more intense than merely sympathising with the feelings of some characters in the event of their beloved one's demises.. So that makes ( according to me ) the song of Valsalyam stand alone even tough both the other ones are great works.
