He didn’t have the emotional maturity to understand that the constant uplifting she did for him and her helping him thru his depression -these aren’t just “casual” things to do for someone you just met. Whatever he labeled it in his mind, wasn’t reality. He was living a reality he didn’t want to accept (but still benefited from) and bullshited his way thru it.

@So K I think suffering is an extreme word to use when it was simply a conflict of beliefs in the relationship, as they come from two different cultures and two different generations and such conflicts are easy to have given how they drastically differ. While having a label was big for her, I don't believe she was holding it over their heads constantly throughout the relationship. They were together for 3 months, not 3 years. This conflict (and possibly other factors) ultimately lead to the end of the relationship but that doesn't mean it poisoned the entirety of it.

She wanted him but he wasnt ready and not interested in a relationship. Pierre did nothing wrong, he told her he has no intention to have a relationship and the reason behind it. But, she kept pushing as she wants to fight for the love she craved. Pierre did the right thing to break things off before it got to intense. Feelings got hurt at first and then they healed. It’s so fascinating to me that she cried so much in the beginning, while he wasn’t super emotional. Then after the call it was the opposite. Really shows how two people can share the same relationship but have two different views on what it means or what value it has to them.

He's told her MANY TIMES that he didn't want a gf and now there's cameras in his face. He's trying to let her politely know he doesn't want her.
