The forgiveness he shared about in his testimony reconciling with his father is tear worthy. He’s who a lot of young men need to aspire to act like! That’s just being purposefully obtuse. Whenever they said, “this is my interpretation,” they were referring to things not explicitly stated in the scripture like God’s intentions (which cannot be understood by humans). I noticed that too. I think it indicated a lack of objectivity and genuine curiosity in the group. Thinking you already have the truth can be one of the biggest hindrances to getting it. Everyone starts out ignorant but those who won't listen/observe will remain that way.
