Not because I have a job or career and I think I’m “miss independent” or “I can take care of myself”. But to show the man that I appreciate him. But like the bald guy said, you get one chance to make a first impression. The man paying on the first date is a way to show that.

@@ubyudofia5942 I agree. Personally, I worry because I don't want to support someone who ends up being a rapist and I also don't want to support someone who lies to ruin somebody else's life. I've heard a good deal of stories from guys who can say they or somebody they knew had their lives ruined by some girl who made a false argument. Regardless of the amount of evidence and people that backed them up, it doesn't matter if they're locked up or not. They are declared "hands-off" by society.

"I'm very traditional". No sir, you are just trying to make up an excuse for thinking that they ways things used to be for people in relationships (which used to be the whole women belong in the kitchen) is okay. You have the mindset that you are superior just because you are a man, which is no where near true. No gender/sex that people identify with is superior. All he really want's to say is that men are better than women and I have no idea why. He doesn't want people to be equal because he is fragile when it comes to how he feels and can't even fathom to think about a woman having more power in the world than he does.
@concamon1364

..... Where are you getting this from? Lmao, this came from nothing. There's nothing wrong with traditional gender roles/expectations. If that's not what you wanna conform to in a relationship, that's fine but just say so .... 🙄 Femininity is not weak .... the idea that women must be like men or fulfill the same roles in all circumstances undermines the importance of femininity in itself.
@paigeyluv_

@@concamon1364 I never said that there was anything wrong with it, I stated that the way he thinks is just very old and I guess in the way he put it, "traditional". I just don't understand people that feel the need to force their ideals onto other people. He can do whatever he wants in his relationship, as long as it is legal and the other person or people consent. I just have never understood wanting to fully submit to someone like that. There is nothing wrong with it like you said. I personally just don't like it. If you want to, sure, go ahead. Just don't force your opinions onto me, that's all. I also wasn't trying to offend anyone, I just wanted to put my opinion that I know no one asked for in the comments because I felt like it. Thank you for replying with how you feel. I like hearing other people's opinion's because I feel that it is important that everyone knows that they are heard, even if I agree or disagree with them. Have a nice day/ night!

8:58 This is really powerfull though. For a young boy to see his father cry in front of him has a huge impact. First of all, it shows that it is ok for men to cry. It also demonstrates when it's ok to cry. To clarify, I don't think men should cry over small things. I don't think anyone should cry over small things. That shows weakness. But to cry over important things. Like your mother dying, or just when life really breaks you down, that shows humility, and in turn, strength. This all being said, I think men should be encouraged to express themselves. If they're feeling stress, they should be able to vent about it. It is not ok, nor is it healthy, to bottle everything up inside. That's partly why men live shorter lives than women. It is because the emotional toll bottling things up inside causes detriments our health. Hopefully nothing came off incorrectly...

Im female and I came from a household where both my parents didn’t show vulnerable emotions and all the way up until I was 17 and even still now I try to hide when I’m crying because I feel like I’m vulnerable and people will attack me. I don’t speak up about how I feel enough, I’m not clear enough because I’m afraid of emotions. And my boyfriend was raised in an even harsher environment and I have only seen him cry once. And it’s extremely painful for him to talk about his emotions. If we both had situations where we were taught how to properly express ourselves our lives would be so much easier

Honestly as a teenager in high school… I’ve been made fun of for showing emotions and I have been yelled at for showing emotions people don’t like. So often, I bottle up my emotions and now everyone thinks I’m actually psychotic because I show practically no emotions. I have been told this by society so now I don’t think I have shed a tear in literal years. I got to talk with a friend who was a lady about this and I said that and they were like actually scared and frightened. I told them about my experiences and they said, “Yeah. Some women are extremely toxic and I feel so bad for all men in today’s society for basically being told not to show emotion.”
