we all know that rob was much more capable back in the 70's and 80's than he is now, but that high note at the end really shows that he's still got power in his voice. i still remember his powerful painkiller- like scream during 'beyond the realms of death' on the 2013 epitaph tour. it's still the same rob that we've always loved. people really should stop giving him a hard time. i think the most important thing to remember also is that he's doing what he loves, as he always has.

awesome cover of the 1975 Joan Baez acoustic hit. Even Joan was shocked and flattered that Rob Halford covered her song about her early 60's relationship with Bob Dylan. Judas Priest takes this very personal song up another level and proves a great song is forever, no matter who performs it.

@BURNINAMBITION You mean he doesn't use head voice for the entirety of Painkiller now, so? He switches between headvoice, falsetto and chest voice almost every other word in Painkiller and that is EXTREMELY impressive. The control the man has over his vocals is insane, yes I am impressed and no I am not blinded (or deafened) by passion.

IMO it was their best song off this current tour for execution (apart from maybe The Hellion/Electric Eye), I saw it at High Voltage and in Wolverhampton. Simply amazing

Kiitokset videon lataajalle. Paikan päällä tuli oltua ja todistettua Priestin helvetin kova keikka. Ei juurikaan ääntä lähtenyt kiduksista pariin päivään tuon session jälkeen.

@magick1969 for the record he did quit smoking and openly admitted that back in 07 I believe which is why In my opinion he sounds better than he did 2005 retribution tour. The weight thing I have no comment on though.

@BURNINAMBITION Why is it Tiptons fault that KK leave JP? Do you know more than the rest? Im very interested how you explain this statement. By the way, Faulkner doing a great job. You can not replace KK but Faulkner can complete the band, and he did it very very good (saw them last night, was great). So give him a chance.

@BURNINAMBITION How the fuck is it Tiptons fault for K.K. Leaving?? just like what Silvertounge85 said, The whole band wanted K.K. to stay really badly,(that INCLUDES GLENN). And Faulkner is a very talented guitarist

@ryder75 For the record he has quit and restarted more times than one can count. I've followed the guy since he left Priest, formed 2wo and later Halford. His voice is trashed and as a vocalist if you have any external weight on your diaphragm it weighs down on one's range, not to mention the smoking makes air flow and sustain worse resulting in very poor tones and control. Rob is turning into Ozzy walking around like a zombie, staring constantly at his monitor due to memory loss. Truly sad.

@BURNINAMBITION Richie is a great guitarplayer. Strange that comments like this comes from some schmuch that can maybe only play a bit of the intro to 'Stairway to heaven' on an acoustic, while drunk, and even have the balls to comment on guitarplaying. Downing left on his own free will, they pursuaded him to stay for the tour, but it's his choice. It's sad yes, but blaming Tipton and giving Faulkner unneccesary crap because of Downing's own decidions are plain stupid.

@SilverTounge85 i am a drummer not a guitarist, that is true. is faulkner compared to kk good? no. is this version of the song any good? no. perhaps you have never heard it live or have never witnessed the awesomeness of jp live. the real jp. can you imagine iron maiden without steve harris?. the rerason i posted my first comment is that they made the song sound bad. anyway, you have your opinion i have mine...

Wow. Rob's true voice is gone. Absolutely average with very poor control and tones. In no way does it remotely resemble what we all knew and loved for over 25 years. Keep putting weight on and smoking Rob. Your voice reflects it.
