One of the best live bands you will ever see! Trust me I’ve seen them all...
@jerseytiger19804 жыл бұрын
Jeff Polk what in your opinion makes them a great live band? I saw them twice in 2005 and 2008. While they sounded great, and I loved the songs, the “live” performance was mostly forgettable. I know this was later in their career, but they more or less just stood in the same spot for 2 hours and played. Again they sounded great, but there was nothing unique to the experience and I could have just listened to the albums. Hill did his full body head banging, KK and Glen did their occasional synchronized head banging, and Halford stood in the center grasping the mic with two hands looking down, occasionally pacing around. As far as I can tell from old live footage this is what they’ve always done, so it’s not just an age thing. I’m just curious if there is something I’m missing about their live shows that make them great. Contrast their style to Iron Maiden who I’ve seen 13 times since 1999. They are always running around, jumping, interacting with the crowd. Bruce basically takes someone who is in the back row and makes them feel as if they are in the front and he is speaking to them. Throw in the interactive stage show and it’s an experience that is worth the $100 or so price of admission. I never left a Maiden show thinking the band gave any less than 100%. I can’t say the same for Priest. All that said, I’m going to go listen to Painkiller now.
@jeffpolk48004 жыл бұрын
Sean Hyland I saw the back in mid 90s with Motörhead AliceCooper Metal Church Dangerous Toys. They were in their prime and it was just a killer show all around. Metallica & Queensrych Greensboro Collisium 1989 Soundgarden Rage against the machine Pearl Jam Red Hoyt Chili Peppers Ministry Atlanta Ga. Kiss ZZ Top Godsmack Kidrock I can go for days.

Richie F is a guitar super freak; he is a great match with Priest; can't wait to see Priest again live; saw them live in the '80's, counting the days!

Very impressed by Ritchie. Absolute worthy replacement of KK Downing

Mayhap the greatest Metal track of all time. The one track on "Painkiller" that does not have a solo.

De la bombe de balle ! Meilleur que la version studio qui déjà est mythique . La double pédale est monstrueuse et Rob il déchire tout . Les grattes elles arrachent , la basse tabasse . Tout est excellent .
