I was there. It was unreal! Just turned 18 the week before. A bunch of us went out there for three days in the brutal heat. We were young and about to graduate high school so this was to be one of our final adventures we would all be together at. Never forget this show plus all the other bands that played. @@DirtyDoctorDan these lyrics are cheesy ? The lyrics in “Electric Eye” describe how satellites can watch your every move on earth, how we are being monitored….. the lyrics are quite ahead of their time. Even though they had satellites in early 1980, there was not a lot compared to today. Lyrics are inspired by the book “1984” by George Orwell, where “Big Brother” is called Electric Eye and he watches over everybody and knows what they do. This song might be the one with the least cheesy lyrics in Judas Priest entire discography, and it portrays todays reality for a large portion of the world. So, when you claim these lyrics are cheesy, you show that you have absolutely zero clue, about anything or anyone. Have you even READ the lyrics ? Unbelievable….

He was their best drummer and gave the band some swing. Ironically, for a band that so proudly ( I hate that word now) waves the Metal banner, he wasn't the most metal drummer, but he was really important to the Priest sound. All metal bands have metal drummers, but none of them sound like Judas Priest., but Priest sounded like the others without Holland. He's not flashy, but his importance is glaringly obvious. I agree with "firework" comment. Listen to Desert Plain for that feel/groove he brought to the band...That's my favorite Priest song.

I had this on 8-track when I was fourteen. Screaming for vengeance opens with The Hellion/Electric Eye and the first time I heard it, it blew me away. I've been a fan ever since. The lyrics to Electric Eye were foreshadowing what we are experiencing today, very prescient.

Up here in space I'm looking down on you My lasers trace Everything you do You think you've private lives Think nothing of the kind There is no true escape I'm watching all the time I'm made of metal My circuits gleam I am perpetual I keep the country clean I'm elected, electric spy I'm protected electric eye Always in focus You can't feel my stare I zoom into you But you don't know I'm there I take a pride in probing All your secret moves My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove I'm made of metal My circuits gleam I am perpetual I keep the country clean I'm elected, electric spy I'm protected electric eye Electric eye, in the sky Feel my stare, always there There's nothing you can do about it Develop and expose I feed upon your every thought And so my power grows I'm made of metal My circuits gleam I am perpetual I keep the country clean I'm elected, electric spy I'm protected electric eye I'm elected, electric spy I'm elected Protected Detective Electric eye

Judas Priest, POR SIEMPRE 🔥❤
