This is a routine trial procedure that when the plaintive completes their testimony, then the defense ask for the judge to either dismiss the trial at that point or continue on if there are enough To continue on at this point the defense hasn’t had to prove anything

If she was so in fear, she had plenty and opened opportunities to remove herself. It's his house, really. But, she could of left, when he was passed out. Remember, she was in fear. Actually, she wanted 3 apartments, so in fear, she wanted to still live in the same building!

I AM an abused woman..28yr long abusive marriage...and am outraged that she basically lies ....mocking those women who have truly lived the horror and pain...I've watched her closely..and she doesn't strike me as the abused. I lived twice even in a women's shelter no place else to go...and I am just sickened that she supposedly says she represents us. I'm in the middle of getting out after only 4 yrs. You have my love and support for putting up with it for 28yrs ❤️. I too stayed in women's shelters, driven there by the police, applied for safety orders then protection orders...even had to go back home with my abuser after his court hearing after me giving evidence because the DPP got the paper work wrong it was thrown out. The abuse continued. The dots are just not joining for me re. Amber.

As far as I've learned there's virtually always a motion to dismiss (why wouldn't you, as the defendant?) and it's almost always denied. I wouldn't read too much into the fact that they're putting on a motion to dismiss.

Can we talk about this doctors over the top testimony? She needs notes to remember how she examined her, but went on for over an hour in dramatic detail about all the ways Johnny abused Amber. She spoke as though she was present for all of it. If any of it happened, why did Amber demand 3 of the 5 penthouse apartments in the divorce blackmail letter. Why would she want to live next door to an abusive ex husband? She could have demanded more money and lived far away from him. She wanted to stay in his life.

It’s impressive the difference between the defenses, her lawyers ask and make their remarks in a manner that clearly shows they are fishing for anything, and they themselves contradict what they say or ask all the time. Johnny’s defense is clear, direct, intentional and has facts not conjectures. It’s so clear. Amber saw she is not convincing anyone anymore and now wants out as fast as possible because she saw nobody is buying her BS and it’s damaging the image she created as a “poor victim”. Ben Chew gives a professional, cited, complete and clearly articulated argument against a motion to dismiss. He clearly knows how to do his job, and do it well. The rebuttal (not sure if that's the right thing to call it) by Rottenborn that comes afterwards is exactly the opposite. Talking in circles, making no sense, no case citations, leaning towards insulting and badgering, as usual. That's what happens when you get your law degree from a cracker jack box. The judge is great at playing devil's advocate, asking the right questions, but she's not going to dismiss this, guaranteed! Next thing that's going to happen is the Amber Turd is going take suddenly ill in order to derail the proceedings. Mark my words, this is how someone like her works. When I finally was able to get out of my DV relationship after 5 years, in what was essentially a prison. I was so terrified that I would see my ex, that I would be constantly looking over my shoulder. I was full of anxiety, I never slept, I spent the first 7 years getting up all through the night to check all my doors and windows were locked, I hardly left my house and locked all my doors during the day constantly peering out the curtains to make sure he wasn’t there (he would stalk my house in the middle of the night). And the last thing I wanted, the ABSOLUTE last thing, was to even think of having any kind of meeting with him. I was f***en terrified. AH seems to take any chance she can to get JDs attention, imo.
