Judge Sends Lil Dee To Hotel Amid Worry Dad Will Halt Testimony

After much discussion about his health, Quindarius “Lil Dee” Zachary began testifying in the Young Thug / YSL gang racketeering conspiracy trial Friday (September 20, day 134).
Lil Dee took the stand amid claims from his defense lawyer that his medical condition, including the blood disorder sickle cell anemia, prevents him from testifying competently.
Unlike the other Lil Dee (Damekion Garllington), Lil Dee was not charged in the YSL gang racketeering conspiracy case but is testifying for prosecutors without a deal. He was arrested on a material witness warrant, and prosecutors gave him immunity, which means he can’t legally invoke his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination because he’s not facing criminal peril.
At the end of the day on Friday, Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker inquired about the status of Lil Dee's warrant after prosecutors requested he not be jailed.
"His physical and medical condition seems to be fine," the judge said.

08:25 Judge tells Lil Dee they had to stop early because a juror ran out sick and probably threw up. She tells him they're going to put him up in a hotel instead of jail.
"There are certain members of your family who seem very determined to have you not finish testifying." Whitaker says it's Lil Dee's father.
10:30 "It's fine with me if he gets his phones back."
10:45 "I don't want that lawyer no more," Dee says of Schieb. "I don't need no lawyer."
11:45 "Can it be her walking out that door?" Lil Dee shoots his shot with an investigator.

Because that’s how subpoenas work, and his father has been very adamant about him not testifying and his testimony is required. He doesn’t have a choice with immunity. Wouldn’t have these problems if they weren’t out there breaking the law.

This judge is annoying. She cannot make a complete sentence without pausing several times. It’s almost like she has to think about what she has to say every two words. This entire case is a sham. The “witnesses” are so ghetto it’s almost impossible to understand all this slang. The DA is incompetent as well.
