I don’t know that God was completely silent, it says that the Spirit of the Lord came on Jephthah, which is a pretty powerful statement. Also Jephthah is listed in Hebrews 11 as one of the heroes of faith. I’ve heard it argued that Jephthah was an intelligent and well studied man as evidenced by his diplomacy, and that he would’ve known that it was against the law to sacrifice a human being and that it makes more sense that he gave his daughter up in service to the Lord and she never married and he never had any grandchildren so his line of descendants didn’t continue which was a big sorrow indeed for the people back then.

You're putting a view forward that isn't in the verse why would jephtath tear his clothes and bawl his eyes out if he was sending his daughter to a convent? also it says her friends lamented for her lamenting is usually associated with death in the Bible to my understanding .it also says clearly he carried out his promise which was to offer whatever first came out of his home as a burnt offering ,which happened to be his daughter and it says he completed that promise .

Was God truly silent in Judges 10 when the Israelites begged Him for help? It says He "became impatient over the misery of Israel."

If I am not mistaken, that was not during Jephtah’s rule. She says God was silent during Jephtah’s period of rule

Jephthah did not come on the scene until Judges 11 and her teaching covers 3 chapters. But also, as to God's silence in chapter 11, I'm not sure I agree with the speaker because Judges 11:19 states, "Then the Spirit of the Lord was upon Jephthah..." That, in my mind, implies God was Not silent.

How in the world do you put someone with a nose piercing preaching about the Bible. Your talking about the Bible and don’t live by it? Doesn’t the Bible say our body is the temple where God dwells? So let me ask you if our body is his temple were he now dwells why would she put piercings.

Piercings were not allowed under Old Testament Law. But we are under a New Covenant, not the law. See Colossians 2. Also, consider this: do you eat bacon? shrimp? lobster? In other words, if we are going to expect New Testament believers to obey the Old Testament law, then we better obey it as well -- in Everything.

Rebecca had nose piercings. Also God looks at the heart not outward appearances. Be careful about judging others the Bible speaks a lot more about that than piercings.

The twelve disciples were ordinary men from different walks of life. Some were fishermen, one was a tax collector, others were activists. One had a much different idea about the Messiah. Despite their constant failing and struggles, God was able to use these disciples who remained faithful to Jesus in a mighty way. A piercing doesn’t stop the hearing & doing of His word. As believers we can pray that God moves & transforms an outward appearance but that very thing may be what draws an unbeliever, to accept the free gift of Salvation. The renewing of our minds and transformation comes from God.
