Denny, or anyone. Fast forward to 2023, and today arrived my 2012 & 2015 Decca CDs of Judith's Gift Of Song and Climb Ev'ry Mountain albums, respectively. What have I got here? Did someone find the masters finally? Or are they needledrops, that is "mastered from vinyl"? All sounds great so far.

This song was posted a couple of years ago and taken down. One of my two favorite Judith Durham songs. Judith was one of the best at singing discordant notes (slightly off key), and only a great singer can do it well. Alice Babs was exceptional at it, and Mary Hopkin (e.g. her recording of "Inch Worm" was very good.

Thanks Dennis, great video you've put together for a lovely song. I'd been wanting to hear the CD version to hear if it was mastered from tape or vinyl. Sounds like vinyl to me (slight sibilance on the esses), but a decent transfer. Did you notice some of the tracks from last year's Seekers CD set from EMI were mastered from vinyl?
