Vincente Minnelli was in the audience for this episode, so Judy wanted to look extra glamorous. I think she looks stunning here.

She may had some demons inside but she was an amazing loving and caring mother.

She loved them more than she loved herself, she'd do anything for her kids and it definitely showed, she sacrificed so much so that her kids had more than her and it definitely showed. Liza was there with her from beginning to end

@@LorenzoDoesntExist I read her history and I saw documentaries and she did had demons like any normal person do but her situation was heavy pills and alcohol and I don’t blame her for it she was used so much and she was mentally and emotionally abused sadly and cases like that they become abusive towards others including kids but thank God and despite out of everything that happened to her she became a wonderful loving mother and a loving human being that’s why she is still iconic and a legend. People may say she was weak but in reality she was way stronger than she gave herself credit for, I mean to go through all that and still be loving and caring is very brave and very strong thing to do because personally me if I went through that myself I probably be a abusive and hateful instead of loving and caring.

It's so touching how pensive she looks while gazing on her daughter's pictures. She knew how to deliver a song!

A month ago, it was Judy Garland’s great grandson’s birthday. Based on these baby pictures of Liza, He looks so much like her and Judy. ❤❤❤

She loved her baby=) And out of all 3 kids, I feel like Liza reminds me the most of Judy. Her voice and her look.

Does she look beautiful or what? If only this was today and not 1963. We could surely use this kind of entertainment now. As for the young Liza, she was fated to become an enormously successful singer, dancer and actress. Beautifully photographed as a child.

"I take one look at you that's all I have to do And now my world is fine " It gives me chills every time I watch it. Judy is an amazing singer and she's so real and organic. A true "method" actor if there ever was one. There's no one with her raw talent and artesedre.

I've watched alot of documentaries about Judy. There's one called " What Killed Judy Garland." It opens with " I don't think I've ever loved anyone; not even my own children. Just my audience." Sorry, I don't think she ever said that. Yes, she loved and respected her audience, but she clearly loved her children with all her heart and soul. It's clearly evident that she adored her children more than anyone else and to say otherwise is slanderous.

Christopher Lam I agree. If she loved her fans more then Lorna would not have written the type of book that she did. Sounds like the documentary got her mixed up with Joan Crawford

She could sell a song, couldn't she!!! Some people find what they are meant to do in this life and she was meant to sing. She got it right in this aspect of her life. I wish she could have found happiness and peace in her private life. Though she never did, as a tremendous fan of her talent, I am so grateful there are plenty of films and shows that were recorded that we can listen to and enjoy even now. She was one of the greats.

I watched this series when it first ran on CBS. I hope fans know that it's on GET TV Monday nights. Judy was a tiny bundle of superstardom talent PLUS! Now LIZA??? No, not as good as her mother. Yet MOM promoted her. Barbara ? LOL! No! Judy can't be beat! When I was a kid I was very much aware that Judy brought the house down. She got away with singing Jolson songs and he made those his by using his incredible super talent. But when you have that talent Judy had, well, you could sing those songs and people accepted it because she had her OWN powerhouse style! Talent! Skill! Presence! I'm glad that I got to see Skelton, Gleason, Benny, etc. the big stars on TV!

People keep saying that Liza looks like and sounds like Judy. Liza looks like her father, and absolutely does not sound like her mother. NOT EVEN CLOSE. LORNA SOUNDED MORE.LIKE HER MOTHER, BIG VOICE AND COULD CARRY A TUNE, LIZA WOULD HIT SOME REAL CLINKERS SOMETIMES. LIZA MADE IT IN THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE OF WHO SHE WAS, NOT HOW GOOD SHE WAS (WASN'T).
@Francisnotcis6 жыл бұрын
Liza definitely looks like both her parents like most children lmao And liza had an amazing voice and stage presence, no it didn't sound like her mothers but it was still one of the most powerful voices in the industry. Any song she did in Cabaret will show you that
