I was at this rally and you could hardly stand up walking down the stages because it was so icy,juha came past us like he was on dry tarmac. amazing

We all like to think that we can drive like this but no way,Ive been driving allsorts since the age of ten on farms and am 46 now and theres no way i could match a quater of this guys performance. Modern cars are quicker but it took far more car control to keep these things pointing in the right direction. Excellent drive.

I have managed to keep the car under control under seemingly uncertain conditions, but yes, my car does have some sort of driving assistance. I agree with you.

He gets the simplest pacenote I've ever listened to...
@Phantom56117 жыл бұрын
Brian's guitar 自high系列 Richard Burns have similar simplistic pacenotes and I couldn’t understand it either. I think nowadays no one really uses descriptive terms to describe a corner anymore and most of the drivers use number systems now.
@yaboileeroy30387 жыл бұрын
Phantom5611 Personally, "4-right-long, then 3-right-small jump," sounds so much easier to understand than this gibberish. I know I sound stupid, but that's too vague unless I know the car like the back of my hand and I've gone through the stage a few times instead of just once. Another problem I have is when the co-pilot reads the pace notes three lines ahead of where they're at on the stage. "Dude, I'm trying to drive a tiny hatchback down a mountain road at around 60-80 MPH while dodging rocks, trees, officials and, god forbid, crashed or stalled cars. I can only allocate so much memory to, well, memory right now, so please, for the love of all that is sacred and Holy, slow down and go one line at a time."

KZbin also compresses the hell out of anything you upload, and then converts it to w/e format they use. If it isn't basically untouched from its source before uploading it ends up looking like shit. I have a dvd of the 1983 Manx Rally - Isle of Man in car footage with Ari Vatanen and Terry Harryman, and the video quality is pretty damned good. That being said, a clip like this with less than perfect quality is still infinitely more entertaining than WRC is today.
