Loved this episode! Really hoping to see one of you just completely modifying that mst. I have an rmx 2.5 myself, and ive loved every second of it. All ive done is upgraded servo and adjustable links for all the arms. Other then that my stock electronics have been good enough for me.

I went through a similar stage to you boys! Them 86 body’s you have are long discontinued and missiles are still awesome! I ended up with a DIB over the SD but if you want to make use of that MR4TCSD there are conversions that are about for them! I’m building the plastic Type C into a RWD conversion inspired by the old doripake builds! But if you want to go crazy wrap up next do a conversion kit that uses the heart and soul of the MR4 Looking forward to seeing more on your Rc journey 😁😁

ive like to take model bodys and add them to rtr rc, mainly 1/24 crawlers but these are amazing when hydrualics to massive vehicles and lift yourself up and im making my own parts to get them done faster 8x8 scx24 frame links/braces and driveshaft extensions often time rc parts are priced high, wheels and tires can start at $20 not to mention the shit servos provided stock

I used to have a petrol RC WRC Carolla (still have it but it's fecked). Spent all summer as a teen working to afford it. Broke it in no time. Always wanted to get back into it but i know it's one of those rabbit hole hobbies. I would love to race RC though, would be good fun. Not sure if it's a thing in ireland

I remember some Japanese guys doing RWD before it was even "in", one of them was using a triangular driveshaft with a plastic card propped up to make the engine sound, it even sounded pretty good lol So I got into it a bit with my dad and i's vintage Tamiya buggy/scorcherer. Because I have a few 86's irl, which feels flexy to say already, having one in R/C would just feel like I was maxflexing, couldnt find a KE70 shell, so I let it be. Once KE70 shells came out, I considered getting a KE70 wagon shell and get into this, but really all the money goes into my shop/shed/tools and cars. Would do a KE70 RC shell up in Sakai's livery, the MotorFIX kaicho, for those not in the know they are more or less the OG's that got people into 4age'ing/ae86'ifying the KE70's. I wish some KZbinr would visit them btw *hint*, Sakai's 5dr van is insane because it actually started life as a 4dr saloon with 4-link, he rolled it then went to a scrapyard and got a 5dr roof & quarters for it and grafted it on. That's what inspired me to get a 3dr AE86 donor and swap onto a 2dr (on hold atm but have the donor), and before anyone complains I got both shells for all of 2k total, rusted all to shaite and only because one of them came with pinkslip & powertrain (which all needs rebuild).

Oh man, EVERYTHING RC is awesome. Couple of years ago I got really involved n the FPV racing drone scene in the Netherlands. Full ready to run birds for 175 Euro's, sign me up. I got 5 just so I could keep smashing them into trees at 150+ km/h and it was awesome! Started to frequent the park next to a retirement home because it had these nice old tall oak trees i could do "fpv acro" around. Couple of old geezers were very intgerested in the drone stuff. I got a few extra pairs of cheap "half-HD" goggles so they could "fly along" with my antics. One of them opens up to me and says he was a fighter pilot in the 2nd world war. Shit got real, real fast. I think I accidentally prevented him from taking his own life back then. He was about to just be done with all the boomer-ass shenanigans going on in the noughts, and I think I was the saving grace that kept him from yeeting himself in front of a train or something. Strange hobby that rc-stuff. It's so tiny, but the people, the memories, the bonds, everything is genuine. Everything is real. And trees. Trees are very real. Trees are the real enemies of fpv drones :D

RC is the bomb! cant afford real drifting in australia but at this point the money ive put into rc stuff I could probably afford a real one!! All those old wheels you have are super rare and impossible to get now. The MST cars are good but when you go deeper i would move chassis in my personal opinion, not saying they are bad but lost of guys i drift with have started with msts and gone deep down the rabbit hole.
