JUICED - 2020 Controls Mapping FIXED & Xbox Controller Support - READ DESCRIPTION

This video is just my game play footage with a 360 controller on PC. Please read me!
My step by step process was very detailed and just a little too long for this 5000 character limit. I felt it was important to go in depth to make sure as many people as possible can use this guide successfully. @@ReM9494 to fix the car steering into walls you just need to download the juiced controller deadzone fix. As for the nitrous issue i dont have a solution

AussieGamer Style just double check your control maps and make sure it isn't mapped to more than one button. (it'd also be good to make sure the button of choice on the controller works. the RB and LB can be finnicky sometimes on 360 remotes).

Exactly the same here. I have to press the "Nitro" button repeatedly, but it's very annoying. All the other buttons work as intended.

FOR THOSE HAVING ISSUES WITH JUICED DEADZONE ISSUES: I did a metric fuckton of research about it and found this website with this file. I couldnt get xc360 to work so I went elsewhere and found this works perfectly: community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2208-juiced-controller-deadzone-fix/ Copy paste file to Juiced directory and deadzone will be adjusted from 1% to 20%. Still researching nitro issue but will reply back to this comment if I find a fix. It has something to do with normal xbox 360 controllers running native xinput vs the direct input Juiced utilizes, as I have seen others with different controllers where you can pick between the two and that fixes the issue.

Yes this works with the game, *and* the Hoodlum No CD crack provided from myabandonware. Was the only way I fixed the deadzone issue as well. @Hayden Hasenberg look into the program xpadder, or any other that allows you to map keyboard keystrokes to controller. For whatever reason nitro works fine on keyboard, so when you have LB _or whatever_ set to the keyboard setting for nitro it fixes the input issues.

Well, your stuff worked pretty well except for the Nitro button on LB not working. I had to switch button assignments just to make it work: I switched reverse and nitro so nitro is on RB and reverse is on LB. For some reason, both inputs work fine and I can actually hold down RB to get the nitro I needed. It takes some getting used to, but at least I can actually get a decent lead now.

Works with PS5 controller. Still figuring out the NOS issue where it only works for .1s, but I im using the keyboard space only for nitrous. This is the gamepad map for me (in spanish) Funciona con el mando de PS5. Works well enough but x360ce just doesn't seem to function at all in regards to fixing dead zone issues. Game is still kind of playable albeit frustrating.

I think that i have the same problem as AussieGamer Style, my settings works OK because i set it before your video come out. For the first time my NOS works great but it was on RB button,so i decide to change this on A button and now i have to click it and i have 0,1sec of NOS boost, nothing happens when i hold it, on keyboard it works good. i deleted even the nitro button on keyboard but still same problem. I even try to reinstall juiced, delete tha registry and my save's but still same problem. Any ideas ???:C Btw. sorry for my english xd

And an advice you dont have to install this program, just simply go to the options and turn on the steering wheel , now your controller will work good

Actually it kinda fixed itself. I'm using Logitech F310 gamepad and started mappin it in x360ce while it was turned into xinput mode. The nitro button didn't work. After it i switched gamepad into directinput mode and nitro started working as intended. So basically i can assume that it will work with directinput devices only. On F310 the car handles really nice.

Logitech F310 has hardware switch on the back which can switch between xinput and directinput (this also helps using it on Mac). Not sure how to change original x360 into directinput, but cheap third-party pads and (maybe) dualshock 3/4 are directinput by default.

so in addition to the nitro button issue that everyone else is experiencing, i can't seem to go in reverse either, which makes showoff events basically impossible. is there something in the setup i missed? edit: okay i spoke too soon they're definitely not impossible if you just drift side to side constantly. as long as you don't crash into a wall and get stuck before hitting the point target, anyway. still would like to be able to reverse, though

I think there is a stand-alone "reverse" button, check the control mapping. You may have to shuffle things around to get it where you want it.

Your directions are a little confusing, you say to download the Drive folder, and that will change the controls, but then you say to also download the other program to do the same thing? Do I need to only do one or the other? Both?

Its weird, I have test this metod recently just 1 month ago and it works like 3 weeks everything fine just like the video, but I have to reinstall the game because I have a issues with my hdd, and I have to do all the things that say the text file, and when Im playing everything its fine, just the nitrous button, it work but it doesnt work like it has to work, I press it and I have like less a 1second of Nos and if want to gain speed I have to constantly pressing it, I remaped to the y button on my xbox controller but I doesnt work, again I have just like 0.5sec of Nos, do you have some idea of whats going on? Why it work and then it doesnt? I try to reinstall the game múltiple times but it just doesnt work :c

I've seen multiple people with this issue and I haven't been able to replicate it. I know some inputs from the Xbox controller are handled as short inputs rather than press-and-holds. (Such as in the menu, you have to press down on the joystick for each item, rather than holding it down and fast scrolling). Keep playing with button remaps and I will look into the emulator for a setting.

TwoHeavyThrash Only accessible accessible on the keyboard sadly. The game does not allow those keys to be remapped.

There's no way to remap the crew keys, so you have to use the keyboard to change the crew aggression. Though I suppose maybe you could set 360ce to emulate those keys via the D-pad. I don't recall if that overwrites any other functions though.

Mine is crashing randomly mostly when exiting the workshop and selecting go race but doesn’t always do it just sometimes randomly running windows xp sp3 do you know how I can fix this ? Did yours do this ? I am running it on a disc copy on a external disc drive as my gaming pc doesn’t have a disc drive

Try to rip the disk to a .iso file on your PC. You can use PowerISO to create a virtual disk drive, that you can "mount" the .iso disk image to. That will eliminate any old hardware issues.

I have set this up on multiple computers over the years running x64 Windows 7 and Windows 10 and I've never had an issue with X360CE. I don't know how to help unless I know what the errors are.

That did fix it but made it incredibly difficult to control the car. Like, cars are very twitchy on a little flick of the stick. With the sensitivity all the way down.

i unplugged all monitors except the one i wanted it on. opened up juicedconfig, applied settings. launched the game, loaded in etc. then closed the game, reconnected my monitors and relaunched and it's okay.
