This game had quite a few ideas that I wish newer racing games would use: things like automatically applying the decals of companies whose parts you just applied to your car, the crew system where you had to gain the respect of rival crews to challenge them, form your own crews and even host your own races in your own territory to earn money and respect from rival crews. This is one of those older racing games that definitely deserves a remake or a remaster with a bigger car list, improved handling model, more event types and more songs added to the soundtrack.

@@itsDrxthat’s why sadly i started to lose no matter what and basically going game over every single f time i tried to go up with car ranks as well i was going through the respect… then i just figured out that you can finish the game (getting all crews respect to 1000) with rank8 cars or stopping at max rank 5 cause there are no more 4x4 after that if i remember correctly, and RWD is just stupid and actually that is a shame, cause as a child that intro with that Rx8 amazed me, just to find out that was impossible to drive, put all my money and hopes on that, lost in a pink slip and gg game over Anyway i agree this game had something that was missing (and still missing i guess) in actual illegal-race games, pink slips and bets that feeling and adrenaline of actually losing your car or winning another car already tuned up was so good

This game is a pure epythome of "Win Big or Go Home" The game pretty much encourage you to take a big risk for facing an opponents and win a big prices or go home and wins nothing in return. Gotta love for the game that had a tons of "High Stakes, High Reward" stuffs in it And one more thing for the betting mechanics on this game. You can for a fact, instead of participating a race you could just spectate the race & bet on a certain opponents to win even more bigger Cash on betting an opponents that had a higher odds against them. But lets just hope that the driver that had a highest odds against them are the highly skilled ones complete with a better cars to booth

Oh yeah I remember the Juiced game. I’ve always enjoyed the vibe that this game had with the simple but effective customization to the soundtrack. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget the opening title scene when you start up the game! Sure it wasn’t perfect, and after you play the campaign mode for awhile you have gotten through the full circle. But it is still a blast to play whenever I do get the chance!

Something about the loop and hook of the game, you were satisfied enough to keep pushing your wealth and car collection as well as simply earning more respect from the other crews. Tryna get more races and opportunities. It just worked. (Todd Howard pun not intended but welcomed)

I remember learning about an infinite money glitch that you can do right from the beginning, you can create a sprint race that only the highest class of cars can enter, so highly tuned corvettes and vipers, you would limit the number of participants to 2 and ALWAYS bet all your money on the guy that had the viper, if it just so happened that both drivers have the same car, you just have to keep creating new events until only one of them has a viper, and all you need to do is just keep doing this over and over again

Love this game and a tip for anyone who wants to play; Put the use steering wheel option on(this helps a ton), if you using a keyboard I suggest putting the steering sensitivity down by 3 or 4 and the feedback by 1 or 2. For controller use the controller fix and put the all the sensitivity and feedback down,don't ask how but it works and you won't spin out as much

I 100% this game a month or two ago, and I found it even more fun than when I was a child. It doesn't have the best gameplay loop, the most cars, the best tracks, or the best physics. But every race feels important. Every race has stakes. You WILL blow all your money on a new car for a new class, then immediately lose it on a pinkslip. It's part of the charm. Every race feels engaging not only because of the betting, but because of the driving itself. Black Box NFS's have easy to pick up physics that are super satisfying when mastered. But Juiced will chew you up and spit you out if you make a mistake, sometimes even in unfair ways. If you press the gas pedal slightly too early in turn exit on a RWD car you will spin out. If you slightly graze the wall you will lose all your speed. If you make contact with another car you will lose control. Not even gonna mention the dirt at the sides of some tracks. Even if you are a great driver with a good car and a big lead, a single mistake is guaranteed to put you behind your rival. Every race, in every track, on every car, against any rival, for any stakes demands 100% of your focus in every single second if you don't want to lose. Thats why every race feels like a huge win. I feel like the handling model is perfect for class 5 races and lower. When you get to the truly fast cars like class 3 Skylines some tracks (like Jack's or Melody's) become truly hard. And those are the "easy" AWD cars. Using a 99 Mustang or a Camaro in Omega Tau's turf is actual hell, especially if you play on keyboard like me. Even with all of its many faults, I LOVE Juiced.
@thaessence94615 ай бұрын

As long as they can fix the cr*ppy handling it's all go. RWD was prone to oversteer by the single tap of the steering button, FWD can even oversteer and AWD was so overpowered. If you had a Skyline GT-R R34, 3000GT, both Imprezas, both Lancer Evolutions and the Eclipse GSX in-game, you're 99% unbeatable.

Now that’s a lie lol I’m playing it now and you’re definitely still beatable, awd cars lacked the top end and acceleration to pull from the higher end cars, literally watched carlos reel me in on his viper at class 5 which is the class when the higher end cars get introduced. Awd only have an advantage on tracks that have alternate terrain like biggies with the dirt, or jacks.

This is by far my favourite street racing game, actually i would put it level with Underground 2 imo because it has got so much gameplay and unique mechanics! Absolutely great video, but there are two things that are worth mentioning somehow; first one is about Show-off so there are like 8 different combo moves besides the good amount of basic moves which work really well; second one is about nitro color so you can change your nitro color by installing different neons (for example pink neon = pink nitro) and if you dont like to put neons on you can easily remove them, just install the color for your nitro, exit the garage, enter again and uninstall neons (it saved the nitro color).

I played juiced eliminator which is essentially juiced 1 but on the psp and i also played juiced 2 and it got me thinking, am i like the only one who prefers juiced 2's handling than the first? I tend to see a lot of people prefer the first game's handling and it makes me wonder what the heck am i not experiencing. Like i cant push rear wheel drive cars effectively on higher tiers without spinning out by accident and i only use the viper on drag races or tracks with more high speed sections than corners. Although i still managed to complete the game but i never been consistent unless im driving awd or fwd cars. In juiced 2, apart from the wonky jump physics at times, i could drive consistently in that game which made me prefer that game's handling. Handling aside though, i will say both games still had equal levels of entertainment imo and i definitely remember liking that girl in juiced eliminator who drives cars painted black and that i bet on her every chance i get just to see her cutscenes.

For a game that was very limited and late for its time, it was a pretty damn decent game. Physics were pretty good (IMO) but it did have a LOT of snap oversteer with damn near any RWD. BUT, we had solid customization, a GREAT list of cars, gambling, and also the option to have your crew members to run races. Whatever it lacked that the competitors had, it kinda made up for it in its own way.

Gameplay-wise, this game was miles better than Underground 1&2, Most Wanted and Carbon. No BS rubberbanding, if you play on Hard, and the AI has a better car than you do, they WILL smoke you without caring. It actually has car damage to encourage you to drive properly and not wallgrind.. wallgrinding slows your car down to a halt, discouraging scrubby driving even more.. ramming is also discouraged in career, as you lose respect for doing it - and even in Arcade mode, "rubbing" your front end on other cars will cause Nitrous leaks - all these things promote CLEAN, SKILLFUL racing rather than driving around like a scrub, using opponents as brake cushions and wallriding instead of properly braking and taking good lines into the corners, PLUS cars feel VERY different from each other, unlike in those nfs titles where all cars feel almost the same.

I remember there was a betting system in Shox: Extreme Rally to purchase rally cars. To get new cars in this game, you had the choice of paying it (except they're very expensive) or challenging the CPU in a race (after paying a bet). It's not easy! Regarding Juiced, it's an alright game, but I really hate the betting system. I like the fact you can win cars like this, but it backfires at you too easily. Like, just a few hours after getting into the game, you hate to lose after an opponent with no clear idea on how he will perform against you. And the gameplay doesn't help, I think there's too much grip, it's less enjoyable than NFS Underground imo.

The physics in the NFS series were clunky and the Midnight club series made ever car hypercars. This game gave you options that came with challenges, rwd were the best cars but since they’re pushing a crap ton of horsepower and there’s no assist, you had to give them ALOT of respect, fwd cars were just mid and fell off early but have special place since they’re your starters and without them you wouldn’t have even began, awd cars had the launch advantage along with handling certain tracks better (tracks with dirt) but lacked top end so if carlos has a vette or a viper you were fighting for your life and forget about drag racing, you’re cooked in those.
