Give me old rockinroll since the new stuff don't have soul. Let bring old-fashioned music back get rid of this new stuff and bring in harmony and soul and feel good these are and will always be number one so let rock out all day and all night.

1968 had some seriously groovy music. My husband made it home from Vietnam and we were so happy. I particularly remember a lot of Beatles music and my favourite was Hey Jude.

I am so glad that your husband made it home safe. My oldest brother Wayne Allums was a crew chief, and gunner on a Chinook with the Geronimo’s unit . Unfortunately, he was killed in a crash in 1969 May 6 . my brother-in-law was Air Force. He came home for the funeral from Vietnam and went back and then in 72 Jimmy got killed ran over land mine on a jeep. You must have learned sewing skills from your mother or are you self taught? Greetings from south east Alabama USA. Hope all is well with your family and friends ☮️❤️

The best music these days are indie. The kids are alright. Having said that, I came of age in the late sixties. These songs are hardwired into my brain... .

I was 17 & 18 in 1968. It was another great year for rock music. Here's my favorites from 68 (for what it's worth): All Along The Watchtower, Jimi Hendrix; Beautiful Morning, The Rascals; Bend Me, Shake me, The American Breed; Born To Be Wild, Steppenwolf; Crimson & Clover and Crystal Blue Persuasion, Tommy James & The Shondels; Dance To The Music and Everyday People, Sly & The Family Stone; Going Up The Country, Canned Heat (I saw Canned Heat and Vanilla Fudge at the Kaleidoscope on Sunset Blvd in June 1968); Hello I Love You, The Doors; I Got A Line On You, Spirit; In-A-Gadda-De-Vida, Iron Butterfly; I Put A Spell On You, CCR; Journey To The Center Of Your Mind, The Amboy Dukes; Magic Carpet Ride, Steppenwolf; Midnight Confession, Grass Roots; Nobody But Me; The Human Beinz; Picture Of Matchstick Men, Status Quo; Pride Of Man, Quicksilver Messenger Service; Shape Of Things To Come, Max Frost & The Troopers; Summer Rain, Johnny Rivers; Summertime Blues, Blue Cheer; Susie Q, CCR; Time Of The Season, The Zombies; The Weight, The Band and Tomorrow, Strawberry Alarm Clock.

Shout out to Max Frost and the Troopers "Nothing Can Change the Shape of Things to Come" from The movie Wild in the Treets if I'm not mistaken. Don't trust anyone over 30 .... 😊

I remember the movie well with a naive Hal Holbrook. By the end it was "never trust anyone over 16!" It was the HIP movie of the year and it featured Max Frost & The Troopers.

If greed did not set in on the band and management can one even imagine how successful this band would have been if they kept together? They would have been more successful than bands like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones to name a few
