I lived and worked at JPL in my 20s and still have friends who live in town, some of whom also lost their homes in the wildfire, but I’m so grateful for their safety and health. Loved going in 2018 from Banff up through Jasper then onto the glacier. So beautiful. So sorry your brother lost his home. I’m happy to hear he’s alive. My husband is Canadian but we live in Ohio. It was a wonderful trip. We started in Calgary where my husband got to meet his birth mom for the first time at age 50. I love watching your makeup videos your voice is soothing and thanks for makeup tips. I’m glad you got your cats comfortable into your new place and you’re glad with your change.

Sorry to hear about your brothers house. Glad to know he and his friends are safe. I've been to Jasper a few times and it was so beautiful. I had some friends who had to evacuate last year due to the West Kelowna fire being in their backyard but luckily they didn't lose their house. Wildfires are terrifying. You seem so happy in Calgary! You should check out Sweet Rice. They make mochi donuts. I had my dad bring me some when he came home after the stampede. Absolutely delicious.

I’m so happy for your move! I moved to a city 14 years ago and have been so happy. growing up in rural WI and MN I do miss the quietness and proximity to nature, but it is really nice to be around people. I have kids and there are 24 kids just on our street, so it’s great that there is always people to hang out with. Plus there are always nice green spaces in the city, it’s not devoid of nature…I live in Portland which has an lot of gardens. it’s like just the noise of cars and street lights bother me.

It’s pretty intense. It starts super super painful if you’re switching from shaving but you just have to commit. It’s a bunch of rotating tweezers that yank the hairs out. I hate shaving, I can’t wax or sugar and I’m not a candidate for laser so this is the best option for me

Welcome to Calgary! What a beautiful apartment 💖. My sister just bought a mattress protector off Amazon that the entire mattress goes into and zips closed. Then sheets etc can go on top. Might be a good way to protect your guest mattress!

Just went through a break up (it’s a good thing, turned out to be a very very shitty guy lol) but i haven’t been able to have any friend time since I’m ALSO moving so it’s so nice to see you post again!!
