On a much smaller scale, I found out what happens to whistle blowers when I reported a disclosure from a child in a Special Needs school, that a teacher was 'touching' him and 2 other boys. I was told to 'shut up and forget it if I valued my job'. Despite reporting what the child told me to Social Services (the child was in 'care', also to UNISON and reported to police by phone and their online reporting, I became the target. Nobody cared about the child

The adult protective services and police officers bust into my home took by gun point my 29 year old mute autistic helpless son away from me and courts gave him to a group home stolen him and they accused me of criminal confinement of my own son and neglect but it's lies. We were happy together for twenty nine years. But nobody allowed me to ever see him again or no family is allowed visit him. They made him have seizures on purpose first day they took him saying no to me he's not getting that medicine for seizures no more. It's been horrible worse than it appears. He's been operations surgery for what don't know in there wicked hands. Unlawful surgical procedures. And many dangerous drugs they put him on. I am so afraid for what they done to him. I have no money for lawyer's. I'm heartbroken can't even talk about this it hurts so much knowing how crappy and mean these greedy people are. But I'm painted as the bad guy. It's them not me I will always love my son Timothy always mom loves you Dear Timothy. I'm praying God please help him. I don't know if he's alive or they killed him. Only God knows where he is. I only have one thing to say about this unforgivable action by the elites, corporate media, politicians and intelligence community etc on mainly Assange, but also on many other whistleblowers. "For man, when perfected, is the best of animals, but, when separated from law and justice, he is the worst of all" - Aristotle. I fear the disgusting behavior of individuals circumventing the international western legal system toward Assange, Wikileaks and many other whistleblowers will have catastrophic consequences down the line. I’m Australian and I understand every document Wikileaks released is now inadmissible in the ICC giving USA immunity from all war crimes and Julian Hawkins (Assange) has previously pleaded guilty to 18 computer hacking charges, Our leaders were shown evidence by USA and concluded Australia is not getting involved in USA vs Assange! And finally Assange doesn’t have a British passport or visa so he can’t be released into the British community if you got your wish “Free Assange” he will be released into US custody to be extradited so you don’t know what your talking about you don’t understand what your asking for and you should hang your head in shame bitting the hand that feeds you!🇦🇺🦘👊

Yes, the case was eventually thrown out. The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Nils Melzer has spoken and written about the systematic mistreatment of Julian. Chris interviewed him awhile back on his show which you can find here on yt, and it's very worthwhile hearing his first hand account as Melzer isn't an activist, in fact he was given the responsibility by the UN to look into allegations of torture against Julian. His findings are illuminating, to say the least.

On the subject of people being hurt because of the information released in WikiLeaks releases, let's remember a point that rarely gets discussed - the Pentagon and I believe the CIA were contacted prior to release with an offer to review the documents and redact and names or information that could put anyone in danger, and they refused.

If and when the USA ever has a progressive POTUS, Julian Assange will not only be pardoned, but will be granted a Presidential Medal of Freedom and an abject deep apology, for the horrific abuse and torture he has suffered because of US officials.
