I am 57 with the back, knee, hip issues. I actually stumbled on your video by chance and have been watching them all. WHAT A CHANGE IN MY GAME..I have been doing everything like most all teachers tell you. Keep arm straight, don't lift left foot, watch the wrists, posture...bla...bla...bla. Well After all these years I have really not got much better. Oh a little better mabey but at the cost of my body. Also, everyone teaches how to have more power and distance. Well through you new common since approach, I hit straight and am so much more consistent. I lost a few yards but gained a shot I can count on over and over. Bottom line is my scores are now so much lower consistently. Thanks so much for the videos. Keep it up. Ken

Good post. We're not playing, and we're the same age, 7700 yd courses. It is really counterproductive to attempt to hit a 7 iron 200 yds.. As you say, consistency is all we need. I'm a 9 handcpr and 7 goes 155 or so, when hit well. I just need to repeat that swing more often during the round.

After several injuries (some from golf) I (56) am back at the DR after several yrs. Hcp 5 yrs ago last tournament 19,6 after 14 months of intense golf, at the cost of my health. Studying you Julian (we wrote before) and finally can practice this. And wow, good feel, no stress. Short sessions with intense warm up before also. For me crucial > Fitness (strength, flexibility, stability) 70%, playing 30%. It’s fun again!! Thx very much! Best wishes from Switzerland, Peter

Good to see you playing a variety of shots. Important advice of NOT to use a hybrid when the ball is in a divot. I have made that mistake thinking the hybrid was the correct club to use. Another valuable tip I have learned. Thank you.

Your technique works well Julian. This morning I set out to practise some chipping & bunker work and simply could not get into a rhythm, so I stopped and adopted a square stance and went back to all the basics you have shown for a dozen balls or so. I then returned to my chipping and it all went like a dream. Works a treat.

This swing really works. Case in point I played an 18 hole round today. Went to the range first and used my old swing. First 7 holes were horrible. I was in so many bunkers and dropped so many shots. Switched to the Easiest Swing on hole 8. Suddenly it was par, bogey, par, par, par, bogey, bogey, birdie!... I was so happy! 54 on the front 9, 42 on the back 9 tells the story. I didn’t hit another bunker after the switch. Thank you!

Julian Mellor, you are right about that. I have had the Positive Impact Golf eBook and the SwingRite aid for several years. I tried the swing at the time but there wasn’t a lot of online instruction then. I have found your videos and those of the other Easiest Swing coaches to be very helpful. Hopefully I can keep my head moving rather than frozen with swing thoughts. I’ve found that fixating my gaze on the ball ruins my swing. It hinders my turning. All those years I’ve played with my eyes glued to the ball thinking it was the right thing to do.

Julian can you do a video on how you were able to take your grip pressure from 9.5 to 2 when playing golf? I have been fighting this problem for most of my 50 year golfing career which effects every club in my bag. On the range I am probably a 5 but playing on the course I can't seem to get away from 9.5 grip pressure especially with wedges, short game & bunker play. This leads to lots of thin & bladed shots with a very fast tempo? Love all your videos!

Hi Julian, I thought you’d like a progress report on my golf especially as its awesome! I’m playing with the feelings and natural flow I used to have years ago, and of course with that my confidence is returning and the game including putting is becoming easy again. Lots of people are now commenting on how well I’m playing and asking what’s different. I am telling them to watch your videos and check the web site. When I tell them they shouldn’t be ‘keeping their head down’ or ‘watching the ball’ I think most of them think I’m crazy! ..... never mind they’ll learn eventually. Hope you are well, I’ll be up again soon. Best Regards, David

Hi Julian Attended your course recently and thought would just give you some feedback. My game has improved and I am starting to enjoy my golf again. Not quite perfected my per hate, bunker shots, but most other shots are so much better. Much more relaxed and now have a consistent game I can rely on with your simple to remember and execute routine. Thanks for your tips on the day course, KZbin videos and time you took with me when I came down for the day. I am recommending you as much as I can. Best wishes and thanks again. Gareth

I am a beginner been going to my lovely small driving range for about 2 years. There is an guy who works there that tells me * know a good shot by the sound it makes.* I guess this is a way to get more feed back on your shots. Also the way the way the shot feels through the handle of the club. which can feel magic to down right nasty when you topped the ball (sharp bite) Maybe this might be something you would like to cover? Getting feedback when you don't have all the gizmos. Thank you, and I enjoyed the video. :)

Thanks for hitting balls and showing what you are telling us to do. It make it easier to when you can visualize the shot. One quick comment, I have tried to adopt the easiest swing for most shots, but I still find myself swinging harder on three specific shots 1. over a tall tree 2. Tee shots on par five where I think I might get home in two and 3. My fairway wood where the distance to the flag is the maximum I can hit the club and there is no club to “hit one more”! That’s just something that nearly 60 years of golf won’t let me overcome, yet!

Julian - the greatest challenge for me is getting the correct feeling of the role of the arms in the down and through swing. Do you feel the "fall" down and through as you turn through or is there a conscious effort to swing the arms down?

Fantastic content as always Julian. I have spent the last few weeks studying your videos and practicing when I can. As a thirty year old with terrible arthritis, I have already had to stop once and after finding your videos I really feel this could be a way I can keep playing. One question - i notice that whilst I am getting fantastic contact , I am pulling the ball straight right (left hand golfer). No matter how much I try I cannot seem to get my path down the target line and get the same contact. Is there anything you can suggest? Many thanks. Rob
