No matter what y’all say about Julian, he’s simply too short to succeed at a high level. His biggest threat is when he’s in the triple threat and his hesi moves. That’s about all that works against bigger and better competition. Not to mention he’s a liability on defense. I admire his grind and heart, but he simply won’t be able to cut it against quality competitors because he’s just too small

More evidence that Newman is not Div l material, he is simply too short, and does not have the vertical leaping as a Spud Webb, Mudsy Bogues, both who could dunk the ball. Newman cant even touch the rim, let alone dunk. Both Webb and Bogues were great point guards who can shoot, play defense, and were great passers. Newman only looks to shoot the ball, never really passes it, and is not a good defender, and is not a play maker, because he looks to shoot the outside shot all the time. He has rarely stolen the ball from any defender, and really plays no defense at all. I question rather he could even play well at the Div ll level. Newman is garbage ..... He scores that outside shot because he's always given the ball, thats because his father is the coach, and his teammates knows his father wants him and only him really shooting the ball most of the time. That will not be the case on another team where his father is not the coach, on another team, the players will not simply look to pass to him, they will be out to make their own name for themselves, just look at what happened to Melo when he joined Spire. He was reduced to a passer and play maker, instead of a prime go to all the time shooter. Newman is garbage ..... his 15 mins of fame are near over, his father set up these shoot arounds to give people the impression that his son is on the same level with these other players, which in fact hes not. Nice try though, but papa Newman, I think its about over, the cash cow that is your son, may have squeezed out his last drop of milk.

Join any team that is not coached by Newman's father. But watching him play, I can see he's a bit fundamentally undeveloped, depending on his grade level, dont know if he's a Senior, or underclassman. I know Newman is a Senior, probably headed to a Div ll team, or someones bench. He's too short and cant jump, I see the 15 mins of fame coming to an end soon.

Honest opinion I think Maldonado will be a good college player has great handles smart and shoots it well he seems to really work hard in games and on Newman he just needs height that’s a shitty feeling when you can’t fix it his skills are top notch but unfortunately the game of basketball you have to have height he really struggles in the paint decision wise with bigs around both good high school players imo
