I could listen to Julian play forever and never be anything less than stunned by the beauty of what he does. Familiar tunes, but something new every time.

I do miss him playing his electric guitars, but love the acoustic too!
@PseudoIntellectual2.06 күн бұрын
@@williamadamsmusic3025 What are you talking about? His first albums were on acoustic.
@williamadamsmusic30256 күн бұрын
Ah, but when I first discovered him he was playing strictly electric. That was how I first heard him play... I know his earlier albums were acoustic, but I still miss the electric detour he took!

Among recent acoustic series, this is the best in terms of clearness and the details of his touch and expressions. Really amazing!

It's like his finger brains take over and he's sometimes surprised at what comes out. One of my favorite Guitarists alive today .

A lucky person is able to create a source of his own happiness that never will fall dry or be poisened. A source that is so rich that the owner can share in multitude without losing any of its strength nor quantity. Julian Lage is such a lucky bird and we are the happy people that participate in his relentless joy.

When I listen to him - also when he plays the classics - I can't help but think of Keith Jarrett.

Since the last few live recordings that have been uploaded, I totally agree. Keith Jarrett of acoustic guitar.

I saw him recently when he played a show in Florida. It was quite an other-worldly experience. I highly recommend seeing him live if he plays in your area.

An endless stream of invention and never the same stream twice, yet always between the banks of the tune and in the embrace of tradition.

Amazing. To prevent from being bored without a band he just goes insane on the guitar, all out into deeper realms than ever explored before. Boldly go where no one has gone before Julian! We ❤ u!

I was at this show right in the front row - I hope Julian comes back to the North East as it really was such a treat to see him play. He was amazing. His support act was cool too.

Julian non guarda dove mette le mani, lui pesca la musica dentro l'anima e non serve dire bravo, fantastico, unico o cose del genere perchè quando ci si trova di fronte al trascendentale le parole sono un anacronismo.

So sweet! I hear a little Joni Mitchell, a little Ralph Towner, a little Leo Kottke, even a little Robert Fripp -- all good things to hear -- but it is first and foremost Julian Lage, the only guitarist who can bring those style together and celebrate them under his own musical vision.

My opinion, but I think on the acoustic it’s just another level honestly… I like his electric stuff, but I mean, I just think on the acoustic is like the source of it all it’s like just another level. I think the only problem is he kind of gets bored on acoustic after a while and he wants more range - and the telly is the best place to go next from there, but I think the acoustic stuff is just the highest of his abilities
