I really wish the minecraft movie was all animated and just like the story of steve and his journey to fight the ender dragon. The end credits could be like what rolls after you fight the ender. that would be sick. but it really should have fully been animated and just about steve and like alex maybe too he can recruit a crew. @@anniestrooo I mean I thought story mode was decent, but ESPECIALLY since it came out in what, 2015, 2016? The same year games like Bloodborne and fallout 4 came out? It wasn't anything good visually. The new trailer in my opinion is at least an effort to make cinematic quality imagery in the style of the original game, the GS is bad technically but the art direction is at least decent. Story mode in comparison didn't really have anything going for it.

I hate the argument that it’s bad because it is made for kids. Not only do kids deserve good media too, but “Family Movies” mean that the movie needs to be able to entertain the adult parents/guardians that are there with the kids. I’m so tired of people excusing lazy, corporate greed by underestimating kids’ intelligence. Unless their target audience is 6 and under, most kids that actually play Minecraft are old enough to know how bad this is.

Complete with famous minecraft streamer and youtuber references. There's another fan animated trailer that's really good, it adds a neat end trailer bit replacing the llama, also makes it so Steve arrives via ender pearl rather than a random fire explosion. Also it replaces the tesseract with something that actually exists in Minecraft. The fact that they fumbled the bag this badly seems like it could be a masterclass in what not to do lmao, I mean, granted, we've not seen the actual film yet, so maybe that won't be the case.

Minecraft wasnt released until I was an adult. I barely played it. I have not once made it to the Ender dragon. I've barely even thought about it for, like, 5 years. Steve doesnt have animations because he is part of that world. The other people have just discovered Minecraft and so they are a part of a different world. They were minecraftized but obviously being from a different world, have different features. Also the portal is their portal into the minecraft world and not the nether portal so thats why its blue instead of purple
